The Week Begins...........

Quiet Sunday evening at home

Autumn is approaching and the last of summer's golden light washes the shores.
The evenings grow chill but the moon and it's sky grow brighter.
The last of the die hards linger on the beach to take in every single drop of what the ocean has to offer: salty breeze, fresh and clean, the still warm sand between their toes and the sound and the power of the surf in their ears.
The air has a thin warmth to it now, the hot thick heat is over for the year.
Cradling containers of coffee in their hands some look out to sea, no one saying much.
Even the children stop to watch the surf turn to liquid gold in front of them.
What an amazing world God created. What a gift to see beauty in the things around us. No accident there.

  1. Hi Annie,
what beautiful posts and pictures you have here. it is refreshing and peaceful to visit you.
It is still way too hot here, and i am hoping for cooler weather. The week-end was as hot as the middle of July and hurt to go outside.. I want to go North so bad and get out of this never ending humidity. (maybe someday soon it will stop)
How close are you to the Ocean?

Thank you for your sweet comments :)

  6. hello Annie, thanks for leaving a comment at MSG :O)
I'm glad you enjoyed reading about my little girls 'bunches'! I love seeing her hair tied up that way, she look so sweet. I try to plait it too (which I gather are reffered to as 'braids' in the US, but in the UK we call them plaits!) but she won't sit still long enough for me to plait them very neatly!

That's a beautiful photo of the sea. Autumn is definitely settling in here, but then again, we didn't exactly have much of a summer this year!

Have a lovely day and a wonderful week

  7. Hi Annie! Black labs are very hard on vacuums! We buy them with American Express so the warranty is doubled. Costco is also so good about returning items so we buy a lot there. In fact, our Costco card is an American Express card. (((Hugz)))
