New Week.....

It's new week and as it unfolds it's anyone's guess as to what will happen. Hopefully it will go peacefully and nicely. I am a bit tired of drama in life.

To the east of me is the bay and ocean separated by a barrier island. To the west of me are Pine Barrens stretching millions of acres .

This is a place I like to go to a lot just a couple blocks from my house on the "other side". It is so different. Its a truly unique area with ocean on my side of me and these piney woods on the other.

They are laced with cedar water creeks that are crystal clear and a lot of cranberry bogs that are turning bright red at this time of year. In summer kids swim in this creek which opens out into the bay on the other side by my house.

Here is the same creek just a few blocks up to the east where I live as it widens into the open bay and barrier islands .
Things change quickly in landscape but it all seems to fit nicely.

The week has gone by quietly. I am waiting the week to see how Brandy is going to do. Although she was walking a bit with the new Deramax meds, she is really just too atrophied now to walk much at all and so sleepy all the time. But the Deramax gives her relief and freedom from discomfort.

At the end of the meds we will see what will happen next.

  1. Hi Annie! So sorry about what you're going through this past month. I hope the meds can help Brandy. We went thru a lot with our Dylan. I have his whole story on my site, including when we had to let him go to preserve his dignity. It was hard but I know we made the right decision. You've been a wonderful pet owner for all you've done to help her.

Enjoyed hearing about your terrain there. Ocean and pine trees is a foreign concept in SoCal but we do have that in Northern California.

  5. You live in such a beautiful setting. I can almost see myself walking there feeling peaceful. Big hugs for Brandy! I had three dogs in my lifetime and I know what it means to have one having problems.
