Wind Direction: W
Sea State: Extremely rough

Ocean Temp: 37 F
Wave Height: 9 ft.
gale warnings in effect.

I found this recipe for old fashioned hot cocoa in the Farmer's Almanac and thought I might pass it along since it looks so nice and the reviews by readers were very good.
Winter is almost over now. It went so quickly. But you can still enjoy some hot chocolate.

1-1/2 cups milk

1/2 cup light cream

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, plus a pinch to garnish

1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Pinch salt

3 ounces semisweet chocolate, roughly chopped

Whipped cream for the top

Combine ingredients over medium heat until chocolate melts.

Serve with whipped cream and garnish with cinnamon.

It is a very windy day today. The surf is wild and crazy.
Hope you have a lovely day.

  1. Hi Annie! My son still orders hot chocolate when he goes out for breakfast. :) I like your little rainy day graphic and your quill siggy. I didn't know you'd lived in Utah. It's beautiful there. We went to Moab and Canyonlands and also stayed in SLC. (((Hugz)))
