Tuesday Dark and Misty

It has been a dark and misty day today with no sign of the sun at all.
In the south there have been awful storms with derecho winds that are packing a lethal punch. Derecho winds are straight line walls of wind that are tornado-like in power but form a long band that can stretch over 800 miles long.
Here the flowering season is at mid point. My apple tree is losing its flowers now in favor of leaves and the Prairie Fire apple is in the middle of its glorious deep pink blooms.

Tuesday Meme:

1. What is your favorite place to visit?

Prince Edward Island and while there the Green Gables house, Lover's Lane and the beach at Cavendish.

I have walked this board walk to the beach at Cavendish so many times. It is like the one by my house here.

I would love to go back there.

Do you have a place you love? What is your favorite place to visit? What do you like about it?
Post it on your blog if you have one and let me know that you did on comments or answer in comments too. I love learning about people.

  1. Hi Annie! Lovely photos. East coast beaches have such a different feel to them. One of my favorite places is to drive up the coast on Highway 1 thru Big Sur and to stop in Carmel. The beach there is so soft and very white.

We're only a 20 minute drive from the beach so it's not that upsetting that we can't go stay at Justin's.

My vet appt was moved to 11:30 so I had clear sailing! (((Hugz)))

  2. How I wish I could post a photo of a favorite place I have been. Alas I have been no where. Well, went to Florida a couple times and enjoyed greatly but nothing like the pictures you have. I may have to look for one of FL.

I'd love to see PEI some day! That would be an interesting scooter trip! (grin)

  5. I don't know if I have a favorite. I love new discoveries, but it's hard to be Brittany for wild ocean spray against rocks or the beauty of the Cote d'Azur.

  6. Beautiful pictures and the sound of the beach is awesome. Alas, I have never been to the ocean on that side, it does look divine though.
