I Can Live Without This Cold!

I have come down  with a chest cold and am fighting it off but I feel sickly. Echinacea is keeping it down.
A slight headache makes it hard to blog but then Magnificent or Egregious  had a post she got from another blogger-- isn't it nice how things move along?-- and I will participate as well. I hope you will also.

I can indeed live without this cold but what  10 things can't I live without?
Well we all know water, food, sleep, love. But what about the nifty little things that make life more enjoyable?

1. I have to say a good mattress as I really am like the Princess and the Pea story. I have never been able to sleep on a floor or hard surface nor lie down completely flat so a mattress of excellant quality and just right for me is essential.

2. Piping hot tea or coffee.
I enjoy coffee if it has Coffeemate powered creamer in it. Otherwise, not such a fan. But tea is my all time favorite and I like that with just a bit of milk and I love Orange Pekoe tea the best.

3. Bread.  Big time bread fan here.
I love it homemade, store bought, with butter, with jam, and I really adore toast with butter and Lyle's Golden Syrup. Oh.. delicious.

4. A good washer and dryer , a good vacuum. I love a clean and orderly house.

5. My ponds. Having wanted them since kindergarten, when I saw my first one, I love watching nature in them and around them.

6. Warm toasty, soft Indian Mocassins. I wear them all the time at home and out sometimes too.

7. Photoshop. Love it. I have paint shop pro, but hands down Photoshop is the king of the hill.

8. My books. Hundreds of them all read many times over.

9. Olive Oil. I cook with it, I use it as a moisturizer on my face. I have no laugh lines around my eyes at all. I think it's the olive oil.
Olive oil is closest to your own natural skin  oil and does your skin good. It is far and away the finest moisturizer you can use on your body.

10.Good Italian food.
I am sure I will come up with tons of other things . Always happens.

So now,   what you can't live without?    I would love to know. Maybe you can make a post out of it too.

  1. Hi Annie,
Sorry about your cold :( Feel better soon! Hey I never heard about olive oil on your face before? I use to put it in my hair when I was a teen. I enjoyed all your answers ;) I might try it too!
Lily is just fine! Just that nasty anxiety. Actually she is bugging me right now while I am typing. She is back to her rambunctious self! I came from a long line of anxiety ridden family. My Dad and Granny suffered from it far worst than I ever have. I even use to get anxiety attacks :( Hope you have a great day. Hugs, Dru

  2. Good list. I don't know if I could come up with ten. I'll have to think about it. Never tried olive oil on my skin but I do like to cook with it.
