Stormy Day

Wild thunder storms all day today.
The ponds are over capacity with fresh rain water and the fish are loving it.
They love to play in the rain drops and stay close to the surface when it rains nibbling at the drops as they hit the water.
After the storm you can hear them eating the plants that hang into the pond. They are little piggies and eat quite loudly at times. As the water level gets higher they can reach more on the plants and the rocks surrounding.
A good time being had by all.
The woods are soaking wet behind the house too.

  1. Happy Thursday Annie,
    I was laughing at your comment about sunny CA yesterday. We had some freaky rain just enough to mess up my car I had washed Tuesday because of another freaky rain we had Thursday. But today should be back to our normal sunny CA :) Hope you have a wonderful day. Hugs, Dru

  3. Happy Friday Annie;

    No heavy storms here but some heavy 10 minute rain yesterday morning. I'm laughing on you description of fish in the pond. I never realized you can actually hear them munching on plants. Have a lovely day and weekend my friend. Hugs

  5. Do you think the fish think the rain drops are little insects (food) falling into their pond? I remember visiting a fish hatchery once and as you walked along the long rows of water, the fish would follow you and surface looking for food. Nice that nature replenishes your pond like that. Have a nice weekend! (((Hugz)))
