She's Here

Sandy has  made land fall not far  south of me at Cape May at 6:00 Pm right on schedule, ramming the coast with 90 mph winds. Poor beautiful Cape May, a gorgeous Victorian resort town on the cape of New Jersey. Very popular with tourists from Canada and even President Lincoln stayed there.
Will post as electricity allows.

  1. Hi Annie! I hope you and Garfield won't need that life preserver. Hope Cape May doesn't get too badly damaged. Sad when historic buildings are destroyed. Watching it on the news. Looks very, very bad! (((Hugz)))

  2. Still have electricity here Annie. The videos and photos of NJ and NY are truly horrifying. They have changed the category to a Tropical Cyclone. That's a first for me. My sister who lives a half hour south of me lost electricity. Keep safe dear Annie. Hugs

  4. Hi, Annie I found your blog from Darylynn's place. I've been hearing of such devastation in NJ. I've been watching coverage on the Weather Channel. Hope you are doing okay. I never was able to visit Cape May but heard it was charming. How awful to see what's happened! Stay safe.

  7. Hi Annie;
    I'm fine and didn't lose any power. You've been in my prayers and on my mind all night. Hope you and yours are okay. I can't believe the damage, loss and lives that resulted in New Jersey. Seeing photos and videos were horrible. I don't ever remember a storm this bad here in the Northeast in all my years. Keep sage dear friend. Hugs

  9. Hi Annie,

    Came over from Darylynn's blog to send some prayers your way. I live 'way over' in Alberta, Canada, but this storm still gives me the chills. Superstorm Sandy seems impossibly massive and the destruction it's causing is almost beyond comprehension.

    Hope you are doing ok.

    Hugs from Canada.

  12. Hi Annie! Still wondering and worrying about you. I heard that cell service was down in many areas, too, so even if I had your cell number (if you have one) we probably still couldn't make contact. :(
