Another Day by the Bay

I put up the artistic graphic because I am unhappy with bloggers templates and rethinking the design of this blog. So, I am trying to create something nicer, maybe using an old Panasmontata or Minima template.

It is cold outside.
 I was hoping to get out today for some groceries but didn't feel like it. Now I will have to go tomorrow before it gets too bad.
Most of the food in my refrigerator needs replacing. I have thrown out most of the contents since the electric was off too long to trust any of it.

Half of the Famous Anonymous kid's school are homeless now and FEMA is "considering" bringing in mobile homes. Considering.
No school for a while for us here. Too much damage so, we don't know when school will start up again.
The little one is in nursery preschool and there are too many hazards by her little school so it is closed down as well.
Hopefully things will get normal again.
Happy Wednesday all!

  1. Hi Annie, I can't imagine what you guys are going through. I pray that you all get the health you need. Then you have to battle cold weather too. We complain when it is in the 50's.

  2. Oh my Annie;

    My heart breaks just reading how much damage has been done. So many homeless and it angers me that FEMA is "considering" bringing in mobile homes. I pray things will change fast enough for all of you. We are in for snow tonight here from the nor'easter coming in later today. Hopefully no more damage will be done. Hope you get to the grocery store. Take care be safe my friend. Hugs

  3. Oy! You would think they'd have learned something from Katrina! :( I also remember how people there had to throw away their refrigerators because the smell wouldn't go away. That's so hard for the kids to have their lives disrupted. Guess there will be a lot of work for construction workers in your area! Hope you get stocked up on groceries and can keep warm. (((Hugz)))

  4. Annie - I like the looks of your blog. But, I know what you mean - I'd like to do something with mine too. With your expertise, I can't wait to see what you come up with.

    I hope the stores are stocked well enough for you to replenish your groceries. During hurricane season, I rarely stock my freezer for more than a week at a time due to possible storms. So much to think about when you're trying to get your lives back to normal. I hope that they can get things going soon - like school for the kids. Otherwise, they'll be having to go into the summer. ((Hugs))

  5. Hi Annie,
    So sorry to hear about the schools being closed still. I saw all the mobile homes they brought during Katrina until new homes were built for them mostly by Brad Pitt and Habitat for Humanity. Hope you keep warm and you are able to stock up in groceries. Hugs, Dru
