  1. My goodness Annie, it looks like a tsunami hit your town! There are all sorts of fundraising going on over here. The Stadiums in Orange County and Los Angeles Co were taking donations for the Red Cross. My nephew lives in Brooklyn. He says he has some food, but can't really get around because he uses the subway. Still praying. Hugs

  3. What a heartbreak just looking at those photos Annie. I too posted on my blog but more of the total damage and deaths this hurricane/storm/cyclone caused. We still haven't heard from some family who live in New York, Long Island Sound and Fire Island. Hope the plumber finally got your heat working. Hugs

  4. Oh, Annie, how terrible! I am so sorry that this kind of thing has to happen to anyone. Is your power back on and things working now? How heartbreaking it must be for all of you living there to see the devastation. My heart is broken for you. ((Hugs))

I did manage to post on my FB account, links to immediate photos and info for others that still have someway to connect. But its so so sad.....even tho I dont live there anymore.....you all are my people, my home. I wish I could gather you all up and bring you here to be safe, warm and fed. I know so many need it. Hugs my friend.......know that many of us are doing what we can an if we cant, ,,,,we PRAY!

  10. Hi Annie! The pictures are so unreal! It's hard to imagine there could be so much destruction. All the sand... the hurricane name Sandy is fitting! You have heat now I hope? Worrying about this cold weather on the way. Meanwhile, we're in the 90's with red flag (fire danger) warnings. Are people going to be able to get out to vote on Tuesday? (((Hugz)))

  11. Hi Annie,
those photos are so chilling. Still hard for me to wrap my head around how massive and destructive this storm was, even watching the coverage on it and seeing photos. Just popping in to see how you're doing.

  12. Oh my. All those pictures are heartbreaking! :/
Zeno's cousins in VA were lucky enough to keep their power this time, but in July during a big storm they lost power for 6 days. I am still worried for a few friends that live in NY 'cos I have no news since Sandy hit in full force...
Thanks for the quote, Annie. Scotland sure has a damp, sun-deprived climate.
    Take good care!
