ID Day

Traffic was awful when I went to Motor Vehicle with my 6 points of ID to renew my state ID card.
Clean up is still going on in some towns so things can get slow on a few roads.
Cable is going on and off alot the last few days and now I see why.     They are working on lines for cable and electric all over the place here. Every street has chopped up hard woods for the taking and big containers filled with kindling for people to take.
Thousands of trees came down I guess.

I had a very short wait in Motor Vehicle, thank goodness and I had brought all the ID I could possibly think of to prove I was not from Pluto or Jupiter and really was a real bonafide resident of the Garden State.
They took my photo twice and let me choose. I look like a hardened criminal in both of them but the one I chose is me as a smiling hardened criminal!

Now I am going out again to shop for a few groceries and something for my daughter's birthday. Always hard to shop for my kids.
In the meantime I am enjoying some Starbucks Blonde that I buy on sale at TJ Maxx. Its way over $10.00 in the stores. Too expensive but its $4.00 at TJ Maxx when they have it. The blonde version is very light, clean and crisp tasting.

Now.. here is the story of the day... When I am in this particular car which is a huge SUV ..truck high.. I usually use a hot water bottle for the small of my back. It helps with the comfort level as I drive along. Well, it broke or leaked.
I noticed when I got home and got out of the car and stood up in the cold air. Oh brother was I soaked   ..things are in the dryer as we speak!

  1. Hi Annie,
At least the DMV was not crowded when you got there! I hate my ID photos I always look like I am being booked into jail lol maybe a combo of having to be at the DMV and the crowds usually there. Sorry about the leak :( I bet that does make your back feel better when you drive. Have a wonderful rest of the day and I know how hard it is to shop for your kids it happens every year at Birthday's and the Holidays. Hugs, Dru

  2. Hi Annie, I guess it is good that your town is cleaning up though it messes your cable. Sounds like you have a lot to make for Thanksgiving. I just have to make the stuffing and green bean casserole. I was at blogger last night trying to figure out. I will stick to my website. :) You do a really great job on yours. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

  3. Hi Annie! I've never heard of a state ID card... is that in place of a driver's license? LA sent firefighters and utility workers to help in NY and NJ. I think they're all back home now. I'm sure it made them happy to try and help out in some small way. I'll have to check our TJ Maxx for Starbucks Blonde. We have one within walking distance. I love HomeGoods which is the same as TJ Maxx but no clothes- just all the home stuff. They do have coffee, tea, etc... Great prices on things for pets, too. Hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving if I don't get back here before. (((Hugz)))
