March Madness

Well , blogger here is broken and not working right. If I switch from html to compose, the entire post goes away and nothing will retrieve it.  I hope that changes soon. But it's free so I suppose useless to complain.  It's just more March madness as they say.
Tomorrow afternoon I find out , hopefully, the latest results of the MRI I had done Monday night.
Open, sitting up and easier and nicer than that horrid tube. You even get to watch television!
Took a while and its hard to stay still but I managed.

So , we are watching for a comet this month and this is what the Farmer's Almanac says about it:
Look for a comet low in the west after sunset in the second half of March.
What is a comet, anyway? A comet is a small celestial body composed of rock, dust, frozen gases, and ice. Comets are sometimes described as "dirty snowballs," which is a fairly accurate description.
Comets differ from asteroids and meteors, which are composed mainly of rock and metal. Most of the time, comets are quite dim and invisible, even when viewed through large telescopes.
However, when a comet comes close to the Sun—and by “close,” we mean within a few hundred million miles—energy from the Sun can cause the ice and gases in the comet to “boil off,” causing the comet to brighten considerably. On rare occasions, a comet can become bright enough to be seen with our eyes alone, and Comet PanSTARRS is one of those.
This month’s sky map shows the 8:00 P.M. position of Comet PanSTARRS at 5-day intervals beginning on March 15. The comet will be visible low in the west just after sunset, rising a little higher each night.
So take a look. I will be watching for it.

  1. Hi Annie,

Being I only use HTML I haven't notice Blogger being broken. Hopefully it gets fixed right away. I wish they would not keep trying to change what is fixed. But as you say it's free so we shouldn't complain.
I'm looking forward to checking out the Comet and hopefully it will be on a clear night.
I'll be praying your MRI results are good my friend. Hugs
