Testing 1 2 3

I spent most of the day yesterday in pre-admission testing. Tons of painful xrays.. my body has lost 80% of its mobility, blood work, interview with an anesthesiologist and questions galore about my pain and situation. Itt took most of the morning and part of the afternoon. The hospital is a few blocks off the ocean so I hope I get a room with a view. I will be having surgery next Tuesday and will be out of commission for about two weeks.
One woman recognized what was wrong with me as soon as I stood up briefly and she saw how I stand. She told my daughter that she has had 4 such surgeries as her entire spine is involved. She explained how bad the pain is, etc. When she stood up to leave she was walking beautifully. I hope that's how it turns out for me too.

I leave you with a photo  the Famous Anonymous kid took of the last snowfall.

  1. Hi Annie,
I had remembered you were getting very close to your surgery date. That is very good news that you saw that lady that had the same kind of surgery and was walking great! Very encouraging indeed! We all will be rooting for you next week. Have a wonderful Tuesday. Hugs, Dru

  2. Hi Annie! I hope you have the same results, too! I am getting so frustrated with my back....sometimes I have good days and then I have a bad day- like today- and my hopes that I'm getting better fade. I'm giving it until June which will be 6 months and then may have to opt for surgery, too. Of course mine will not be the big deal that yours is. Will you be able to have computer access when you're recovering? I hope so- we want to hear how it went! If not, perhaps someone can post here for you? (((Hugz)))

  8. Hi Annie! Thanks for the suggestions for my back! :) My physical therapist told me that the medication I'm taking once a day also comes in a gel that you can rub on the sore areas so I got a Rx for that and will try it. Looking forward to your Tuesday day of renewal! :D I think this is going to be a good thing for you! (((Hugz)))
