A Sick Little Cat

I had Garfield to the doctor today. He threw up over 20 times last night and this morning and later in the afternoon today he threw up what looked like very thick dark blood.  I thought we would have to put him to sleep but the doctor gave him some fluids and some drugs and we will see how he reacts to them in the next day or so and then make a decision.
Garfield is 17 years and 9 months old.  My kids and I are wondering if heroic efforts to keep him going might not be unwise. He is an old fellow.      This conservative approach is what we will do for now.
Keep him in your thoughts for good things on his behalf.  I am worn out from being up all night with him and yesterday I was out walking for over 2 hours so I was ready for sleep, but got none.
He will have another does of meds tonight and in the morning.  Hopefully this will help but if not then we may well have to let him go.
Life can just throw so much at us sometimes that it is hard to think straight.
