| Garfield a few months ago |
My daughter came last night and this morning to help me administer the take home drugs as I cant twist and you probably all know how hard it can be to give a simple pill to a pet!
He ate breakfast at 7:30 this morning and had water and it has stayed down as of now, 1:30. As a matter of fact he just went into the kitchen to eat a bit more.
So far so good but, he is tired after all he was through and is lying down. He has perked up a bit and so we shall see what happens. If he needs more tests, we will worry about that later.
As I said he is 17 years 9 months old , but I have had cats that lived past 20, one until 24 actually.
Thank you for all your thoughts and concerns and keep up the prayer and good thoughts for him and that I make good decisions.
I slept very well last night and then went back to sleep this morning after we gave him his meds.
I am walking so much better every day. People who know me and have not seen me in a while do a double take and say "You are standing up! You're walking!" What a great feeling this is.
It is hot as can be here.. in the 90's and its not so much the temperatures as the high humidity that makes it awful. Yesterday was like a Swedish sauna! And then a huge thunderstorm cooled things off in the night.More of the same today they say but right now my air conditioning is blasting away.
When I lived in the west, there was little humidity and hot temps simply meant you could dry jeans on the line in half an hour or less! But here on the tropical east coast it means you just wilt!

Glad to hear Garfield is perking up. Hope it continues! Glad to hear you are walking too. I hear you about the humidity, it has been very humid here over the last few weeks and sometimes it just drags you down and wears you out fast!

ReplyDeleteI am happy to hear he is eating that is always a good sign. You and Garfield are in my thoughts!I have only had a cat live until 17 years old and they have always been indoor cats only. You have really good luck with Kitties so I am hoping your luck continues with Garfield.
