Meme Time!

Our first meme.

Since the clocks get set back one hour this coming Sunday for the end of Daylight Savings Time, I thought we might step back in time as well!

The Back in Time Meme

1.  What games were popular with you as a child?
Any TV program that you looked forward to?

2. What subject rocked your world in school?

3. What subject did you really dislike, if any. Why?

4. What did you want to be when you grew up?  Did it happen?

5. Do you still keep in touch with old friends from school days?

6. If you could turn back the hands of time, would you go back in time?

7. What did you consider a good time when  you were a teen?

8. What or who influenced you most from your younger  years? Why?

If you have ideas for meme subjects just let me know.
I hope these memes will give people things to post about on their own blogs and encourage visits by others.
It is important to keep the blogging community alive and well because it is a real community of friends and deserves attention.

My answers:
1. Candy Land!  I adored paper dolls too.
As for television,   I really liked  Carol Burnett even in re-runs, Sonny and Cher  and  'Dallas'

2. I always liked languages and history  but I really liked  Phys. Ed the best.   We did archery and field hockey and tennis. It was the best and should have been a triple period in school!

3. I didn't really dislike anything but one Algebra class and that was because of a teacher who made things convoluted and difficult.

4. I wanted to be a jet pilot or a cowgirl.  I didn't become a jet pilot, but I did do barrel racing and raised quarter horses, so more of a horse girl than cowgirl.  The Gymkhana (equestrian) society I belonged to did give away Hereford cattle as prizes in  rodeos ,but, I don't think that qualifies as being a cowgirl even though I was the secretary.

5.I did. Have lost touch a  bit now but I have seen that many are living at the Jersey shore now.

6. Yes, I would like to go back in time if I could come and go back and forth as I pleased.
I enjoyed being a kid. I had a good time playing outside.

7.  Being with friends, playing outdoors, barbeques with hot dogs or a pizza night!

8.  So many people.
I think it was the examples set by others that influenced me the most. When people live what they preach it has a great effect.

Can't wait to see your answers.

  3. Hi Annie!

I loved your questions and answers. I never knew you lived in the west and did barrel racing and raised quarter horses -- wow! I always wanted to be a cowgirl because of all the westerns I watched as a child, but never left Brooklyn...lol...until I was almost 60! Too late to be a cowgirl but I did ride horses a few times and I love living in Colorado! If I can find some time I'll answer your questions on a blog post --I'm lucky to get one up every week since I've been taking care of my granddaughter during the day.

I enjoyed reading your answers to your new meme. It was wonderful and amazing to know you were a real cowgirl who did barrel jumping and a real surprise. This is one reason why I love memes. You learn so much about your online friends. I copied the questions and will put them on my Sunday-Monday post. I'm calling it Annie's Meme and linking them back to this site. I hope you do a weekly meme. Have a lovely day ahead my friend. Hugs
