Stormy Day

Dark clouds and rain squalls were the order of the day but I was out and about in the neighborhood taking photos anyway.
I walked quite a bit, which was good.
The air was very salty and wonderful.
Some signs of the storm Sandy are still evident and the shoreline has changed somewhat.
Though skies were gray and cloudy and sprinkles fell from time to time, there was a nice cool breeze that made it so nice to be out and about.

Peeking through the grasses at the salt pond

Happy boaters braved the rain . It was cool and lovely by the bay.

Sandy left huge amounts of sand that have now been piled up awaiting removal .

The little park I love so much is no longer the same place, but nature is reclaiming it.

  2. Hi Annie, I love walks. I'd love it even more if I lived by the ocean. Your spot looks like such a lovely place! My hearts desire is to live by the ocean. I'm not sure if I told you, but I did your 12 Things meme on Saturday. If I already told you, forgive me for repeating myself. Have a wonderful day! Hugs

  3. Hi Annie; I too love walks and if I lived by the bay I probably would attempt to try again. How sad the the effects of Sandy are still to be seen in your area. Our day here was hot and humid with only a small rain shower in the evening. Have a great day ahead my friend. Hugs

  4. Great photos, Annie. Your area looks so pretty. I love the water. The piles of sand remind me of the sand dunes of Kitty Hawk. You all have come a long way since Sandy. I pray you never have to face anything like that again. Hugs

  5. Hi Annie!! What beautiful pictures. It just amazes me how hurricanes can destroy so much. I was in Alabama a couple of years after Katrina (I think it was Katrina) and they said the same thing happened there with the sand and while Alabama was not hit as hard as the other states, there was still some damage that had not been fixed. The people we were talking to said the sand on the beach was across the street after the hurricane. Oh how sad. It was beautiful when I was there though. Have a nice week.

  8. Hi Annie. I love your pages. One day I will ask you how to use some of the graphics we have. I watch This Old House on Saturdays. They were featuring 3 different home affected my Hurricane Sandy. Mother Nature is still the Boss.
