Literary Pearls

After all," Anne had said to Marilla once, "I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string.”

― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Avonlea

  2. I'm finding, like Anne, that the simple things bring a deep and quiet peace that is most satisfying.Sitting in my little front room, windows open to catch summer breezes, the view is of busy birds at my feeder and darling hummers at the nectar glass...and a persistant squirrel upside down on the window screen, trying desperately to get to the birdfeeder. An embarrassment of riches!!
