Friday Foto Friends
Resemblances

I am joining with Debbie for Friday Foto Friends with some off the beaten path photos.

Here is one of a grandmother and her granddaughter showing how genes pass from generation to generation. You may look like a former relative you never met

When I see the "Little"  I am looking at my own face. It is uncanny.  Here she is and I have to find one of me at a similar age but, yeah, this is my face too. Family do a double take when they see her photos. Is it me or her?
This photo of her was taken about 5 years ago when she was 4.

Below is my daughter and her paternal grandmother in Salt Lake City.
If you are thinking "wow, she is a tall girl" you would be very wrong. My daughter is barely 5'1". Grandma is only 4 ft something tall! They are both very tiny.  At 5'5" or so I tower over both of them!
But I can see the family relationship in their faces.

The tall white building in the rear is the Salt Lake LDS temple. They were in downtown Salt Lake visiting nearby.

I am amazed that while my daughter and I look quite alike, I can also see her father and his mother in her face.

Finally a photo of the salt marshes in winter, late autumn because I love this so much and must share it often!

Thank you Debbie ,for the opportunity to share and make new friends.

  2. What an uncanny resemblance the split photo is! My daughter says that people have told her that she and I look like each other. "Little" is adorable and I can see some resemblance between her and you. Have a blessed day.

  6. What a wonderful post about the resemblance of family members. I hear it all the time about how much I look like my father's younger sister. Both have passed many years ago but still family members tell me how I look like their "mom" or "aunt". You have a beautiful family Annie. Thanks for sharing with us.
