Snowy Winter Evenings and Evergreens
Friday Foto Friends

Winter is my favorite time of year.
I love autumn with its glorious leaves and colors. I adore summer with the scent of flowers but there is something about the deep cold of winter that makes me happy.
I love the evergreens associated with winter and they don't have to compete with blossoms this time of year. They get to take center stage!
I love the wintery birds as well. The tiny black capped Chickadees and the Scarlet red Cardinals who flit around the property.

I especially love winter scents and evergreens like Balsam fir and cedar are favorites and I enjoy them in candle form.
Living  by the sea amidst  cedars and piney woods those scents surround me .
I think its wonderfully refreshing and restorative.
Do you burn scented candles in your home?
What are your favorite scents ?
I am joining in Friday Foto Friends with Debbie.

  1. So very pretty....always a delight to visit here. Right now, I have one of the plug in jar warmers on with Yankee Candle Sugar Cookies sitting on top of it here in the my little office and in the kitchen, I have one of those wax warmer pots (from Walmart) on with Cider Doughnut wax. I always have something nice on...I also have a Fireman Snowman lamp on as well.

It is so dark and overcast here in western NY today...and cold. smiles

  3. I'm enjoying Glade's Scent of Joy left over from Christmas. I've never though about winter being a favorite season, but I do love the winter birds at the feeders.

The snow is visible through the window, but all is warm and cozy inside...so
    welcoming .
I look to look at winter...birds,snow,evergreens...but can do without exposure to the weather...can't take the cold !The warmer months are kinder to me.
The Scentcickles(sp?) from my little artificial tree remain and still smell like
    a live tree...lovely ! Vanilla is a favorite scent , as is lavender .
Have a splendid day , my friend !

  7. Beautiful Photo and header Annie. Sadly I'm not allowed to burn any kind of candle here in my apartment. So I melt scented wax cubes on a scented wax warmer that uses a bulb. Serves the same purpose for me :) Have a blessed weekend my friend.
