Doing Stuff on Sunday

Evening dinner. Chicken thighs with rosemary
and sauce made from handfuls of tiny tomatoes and some minced onion.
I cooked the chicken in a bit of water and the tiniest bit of olive oil. When things were hot, I added fresh Rosemary from my window sill plant and some dried onion. I let it simmer a bit, then added a couple of handfulls of tiny  sweet tomatoes which cooked down. I smashed them with a potato masher to make the sauce. I had it with a baked potato. Simple but I love simple foods.

Working on turning a painting into a header and  a cup of coffee to help

Have to dust the book shelves, straighten the books,
polish the table
in the office.

Un-box and set up the new electric fry pan from Kohl's
on sale

Introducing the fry pan to the crock pot!
I think they like each other.

The kids are in Puerto Rico for a bit where the Famous Anonymous is visiting her best friend who lives there.
What are you up to today?

  1. Good Morning !
Visiting here is a lovely way to start my day!
Glad the new fry pan is making nice with the crockpot...
    not nice when appliances feud.
All seem to get along so nicely at your house.
Be well and have a splendid day,my friend!

  2. {{{Big, Big smiles}}} I just love your post. I always love your headers too, smiles. We will be heading out to a picnic later today. Hope your day is a lovely one, friend.

  3. Good Morning Annie, I love your new pot you got on sale at Kohl's. I kind of love that store and hate it. I live to close to one. LOL!
I love your topper, it's just beautiful. The chicken looks so delicious too. I Love chicken.
I love all your books and the pretty table and chair, looks like the perfect spot to relax and read. It's a pain cleaning all those shelfs!
Since you asked what we are all doing today, today is my 29th anniversary so I am going to celebrate that with my love.
    Have a Blessed Day! Hugs

    1. Oh Happy anniversary Kat,that's wonderful! Many many more years.

  4. What a wonder to be together with you sharing the precious moments you spend in your so cozy home, darling Annie, I heartily thank you !!!

In the hope you're enjoying a most lovely Sunday,
I'm sending my dearest love to you,
always thinking of you with love and gratitude

    XOXO Dany

P.S.: forgive my absence, Dearie, but I'm very busy lately writing my first book and I have so little time for you all, I hope in your understanding X

    1. Oh Dany,a book! that is so exciting!
      We understand darling.
Sending hugs back across the ocean to you. ❤️❤️

  5. Your chicken looks so yummy!! Isn't it amazing how often you need to dust? Seems like I no more get it done and it needs it again.

    1. Thank you. It was delicious! Yes indeed on the dusting. Needs doing nearly every day.

  6. Hmmm the chicken dish sounds wonderful! And looks so appetizing! I will give it a try this week! I just love my electric fly pan too! I almost use it every day I think!

  7. That chicken looks amazing. I will have to try that sometime. We had chicken last night as well, but I cooked it in the oven on the broiler pan...just legs and thighs that were on sale. I added BBQ sauce toward the end of the cooking, and it was very good. I use my electric skillet quite often...don't know what I'd do without it as it adds like an extra burner to my stove when the others are full! I love your hand painted headers. Such talent!!! Do you ever sell your work? It is so beautiful...you are quite the artist. Dusting? It's a never ending issue here...we live on a dirt road, and not only do we track in a lot of sand, but it somehow just seems to blow through the cracks and turns into dust on everything...and I have a lot of dark wood furniture, so it is a constant battle that I refuse to let control me. I often do my dusting on Sunday morning because we usually have a Home Bible Study here on Sunday mornings, so I have to at least make the living room appropriate...but yesterday we had a day off, and so I didn't dust! It will just have to accumulate another week! Yay! Have a blessed week my friend. It's been delightful visiting with you!

    1. The chicken was just thrown together quickly but I like the taste of the tiny tomatoes stewed like that :).
I have done headers for other bloggers. I have adapted some of the ones I use for their blogs. Thank you for the nice words :)
I have one of those long sheepy wool looking dusters I got at Home Goods cheaply and I just run it over everything in the house whenever I think of it but I try to keep up with it. My main problem here is sand on the floors!

I love hearing your thoughts and your visits mean a lot to me.
