This week's topic is Food, Glorious Food!

1.  Do you like pie?
Yes I like pie a lot! My mom and grandmother made nice pies. Lemon meringue, apple, shoofly, custard pies. Yum.

2.  Italian or Mexican?
I love both, however, I think Mexican will take first place and Italian second.

3.  Can you bake? If so, what are your favorite things to bake?
Yes, I can bake.  Pies, cakes and bread used to be favorites for me.

4.  Do you use cook books or do you try to find recipes online?
I have favorite recipes that I use but they are mostly memorized. I have too many cookbooks and just this past week got rid of a bunch for the 30 day declutter.
I will look online for things I am not used to making or if I want to vary a recipe.

5.  Do you own a kitchen aid mixer?
No, too expensive!

6.  Ever cooked a meal for more than 15 people at one time?
Yes but now the record is usually just 7.

7.  Do you like hospital food?
Get outta here...

8.  Favorite fast food restaurant?
I hate fast food. Its disgusting.

9.  Any picky eaters in your family?
Yup, the Little can be picky.

10.  Soda or Tea?
Iced tea please though I used to be a Coca Cola fan.

11.  Hot chocolate?
No. Chocolate gives me migraines and all that sickening sweet.. no thank you.

12.  Favorite holiday dish?
Belgian Waffles for breakfast on the holidays, sausage stuffing for Thanksgiving.

13.  What is the most tasteful strangest looking thing you have ever tasted?
I can't think of anything. I stay away from odd foods. I don't eat pork or shellfish etc. and those are the only weird foods I can think of.

14.  Fries or tater tots?
Either one is okay with me.

15.  Do you like cheese? If so what kind?
I do like cheese and Jarlsberg and super sharp Cheddar are favorites.

16.  Home made or can soup?
Home made. Canned has too much salt.

17.  Do you like to eat out?
Yes, I love to eat out.

18.  What kind of food is popular where you are? (Like in Alaska it is seafood)
Italian food and seafood since I live by the seashore.

19.  Do you like cotton candy?
 Yes, I do.

20.  Turkey or Chicken?
 I like both.

21.  Hamburger or tuna helper?
Hamburger helper if I had to choose but I don't eat either one.

22.  Raw or cooked veggies?
Cooked mostly.

23.  Do you like salad? If so, what is your favorite kind of salad?
I love salad with cooked ground turkey or beef,  tuna or eggs, tomatoes, almonds, lettuce, seeds, balsamic vinegar and mayonnaise, cracked pepper and Italian seasoning.

24.  Favorite pizza topping?

25.  Do you like meat loaf?
Yes I really like it!

  1. I am very lucky that we bought our Kitchen Aid mixer about 50 years ago when it was much cheaper than today, though I suspect it was quite expensive for the 1970s. But I have never regretted it. It is a workhorse and has given me ZERO problems.

  2. P.S. LOVE your MacDuff and MacGregor graphic.

  3. I have a Kitchen Aide Mixer, which was a gift from my brother in law and his wife...she got a new one and gave me her "old one". Personally, I don't like it. I prefer my old Sunbeam mixer. The new fangled one doesn't mix as well and I have to keep stopping it to scrape and stir things in. Can't scrape the sides while it is running. Very inconvenient. I liked a lot of your answers...I don't drink hot chocolate either, except occasionally I will drink a cup of hot ovaltine in the winter. That is much less sweet and better for you. I don't drink sodas either...Iced unsweet tea with lemon is my favorite summer drink. Love salads, but rarely with meat. I like to add cheese, walnuts, craisins, cucumbers if I have them, and hard boiled eggs too. Bacon if I have some. Prefer homemade soups and make a lot of them in the winter...or one-pot meals that are thicker than soup...(my hubby calls them "chuck-wagon suppers". LOL) I like to eat out when there is someplace different to go to. We don't have much to choose from in our neighborhood and I get tired of the same old places. Hope you are feeling better today. I've had you on my heart...

  4. I am so excited to see these fun meme's! I saw a Saturday one at Toni's and this Sunday one here. I love it! I am going to try to do them next weekend. Have a great week!

  5. What fun !
    I really enjoy food...the texture , aroma , taste...yum!
Love flaky crust pies , Chicken Francais ,homemade banana , zucchini and corn breads ,thick soups , "kitchen sink" salads ,broiled fish and 85% CHOCOLATE (my refrigerator magnet states"behind every successful woman is a cat and a fridge full of chocolate"-that's me !!)
Hoping today and the days ahead are painless , peaceful and satisfying...prayers surround you , my friend...

  6. Another great post!!!! Hope you have a lovely day, friend. smiles

  7. I loved learning more about you, Annie. So many of your answers I would have answered the same exact way! Belgian waffles...oh yum! Think I could make that a new tradition here for the holidays. :)

  8. Wow Annie! I absolutely love your new header. You are a gifted artist my friend. Enjoyed your Sunday Stealing answers. I haven't done this meme in a long time. Have a day of blessings my friend.

I love hearing your thoughts and your visits mean a lot to me.
