Sunday Stealing ..

Hey there... Another Sunday in July and a day to steal some questions.

Questions from The Book of Questions

1. Do you think the world will be a better or worse place 100 years from now?

It is the same as it has always been.  Cataclysms come and go, heat and cold come, go, there are always wars, volcanoes, earthquakes etc.  In that way, nothing has changed in all the time earth has existed.
King Solomon said, "What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.
Things are no worse now than they ever have been, though the middle and dark ages were far worse than we have it today by light years.
It will continue on as it says , eternally world without end..."unto the ages of ages"

 2.  Would you accept $1,000,000 to leave the country and never set foot in it again. That's not enough money by any stretch of the imagination.  I might consider it for a billion but not for anything less.

3. If you were able to live to the age of 90 and retain either the body or the mind of a 30 year old for the last 60 years of your life, which would you want?

This is a bad deal, so I would reject it.  I would like the body of a 20 year old and the mind of one as well, while retaining my wisdom. 30 is already somewhat over the hill physically and mentally as you grow slower.

4. What would constitute a “perfect” evening for you?
Being by the sea, maybe the boardwalk for some pizza or french fries.. Or....A night at the Metropolitan opera and dinner at the Russian Tea Room or Delmonico's two of my favorite places. Maybe movie and a nice dinner out.  Always perfect if you are with people.

5. Whom do you admire most?  In what way does that person inspire you?
men/women??
God. He is perfect!

6. Do you prefer being around men or women?  Do your closest friends tend to be men or women?
Depends on what is going on. Sometimes men, sometimes women.
Men are more reasonable though.

7. If you could use a voodoo doll to hurt anyone you chose, would you?
Nope. What goes around, comes around.  Not nice to harm anyone.

8. What is your most treasured memory?
Lots of them.: my grandparents, riding the trains, ice cream sodas and having fun as a kid.

9. What is the greatest accomplishment of your life?  Is there anything you hope to do that is even better?  (Let’s exclude raising children, if you have them)
ice skating, ice cream sodas at the soda fountain.
questionable food takes a dive
This question should be asked when my life is just about done. Until then I will keep piling up accomplishments. I am not done yet.

10. If you went to a dinner party and were offered a dish you had never tried, would you want to taste
it, even if it sounded strange and not very appealing?
No. I don't feel obligated to try things when I don't know what they are and they look disgusting.

11. Do your close friends tend to be older or younger than you?
I have friends of all ages.

12. How do you feel when people sing Happy Birthday to you in a restaurant?
I don't like it at all. If you want to celebrate my birthday, throw a party in a house .  I don't like public displays of any kind.  I would feel cheated out of a party at a restaurant.

13. When you tell a story, do you often exaggerate or embellish it?  If so, why?
If it is a funny joke, I might. Otherwise, no.

14. If a friend were almost always late, would you resent it or simply allow for it?  Can you be
allowed to be on time?
It depends on why they are late.  If they are disabled, etc. I get it. It can be hard.
If they are just inconsiderate, they will not be invited anymore.

15. If you could have free, unlimited service for five years from an extremely good cook, chauffeur, housekeeper, or personal secretary, which would you choose?
I want the housekeeper, the cook and the chauffeur. I could use all three.  Send them on over.

Thanks to Bev  At Sunday Stealing for these great questions each week!
