TV Time Tuesday 4

I
t is a cold, rainy Tuesday.   These kinds of days make you feel good to be at home cozy
 and warm.

Welcome once again to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.

1. TV has become a part of daily life.  How much TV would you say you watch weekly?

Not very much anymore at all.  It stays off for weeks at a time.  I will watch documentaries on computer and some old tv programs on YouTube though.

2. What is the earliest TV program you remember enjoying?   I enjoyed the family sit coms a lot.   I also liked  Perry Mason and Mannix and Hawaii Five O.   I also liked the Carol Burnette Show.

3.  Everyone seems to like the TV program Yellowstone. Why do you like/dislike it or why have you not tuned in?  Do you recommend something else?

I watched one episode and found it odd. I think it was the star talking to his daughter who seemed evil or something.  I turned it off and never went back.

4.   How many of the western programs and their stars did you watch back when westerns were popular fare on TV?  How many do you recognize? Try not to look at the list below!

I recognize Maverick and his brother down the line.

1959 Photo of all the Warner Brothers Studio television western stars who had programs on ABC. From left: Will Hutchins ("Sugarfoot" Brewster-Sugarfoot), Peter Brown (Johnny McKay-Lawman), Jack Kelly (Bart Maverick-Maverick), Ty Hardin (Bronco Laine-Bronco), James Garner (Bret Maverick-Maverick), Wayde Preston (Christopher Colt-Colt .45), John Russell (Dan Troop-Lawman).

  1. We watched a lot of westerns growing up. They were clean and good entertainment, even if they did a lot of shooting and killing, it wasn't the gory stuff or filthy stuff they put on tv today. I wish we still had the good fun variety shows like Carol Burnette, Andy Williams, Lawrence Welk, Perry Como, etc., etc. They were always entertaining and had good music too. Today we watch things like Escape to the Chateau, Maine Cabin Masters, and some detective/mystery shows and 48 hours. Hubby watches a lot of sports and other documentaries on YouTube. I don't watch much tv as there is always something else I am supposed to be doing like working on this blog, cleaning, cooking, etc. Never enough time, especially now that we help at Dixie Cottage most every morning. Have a blessed and wonderful day. Christmas is coming!

    1. I think its great you have a place to go like Dixie Cottage. It makes you appreciate home so much more I think. No one really ever died on TV in those days either.

  2. Oh, I answered #4 wrongly. I remember all of them, especially James Garner, and Peter Brown. They were crush worthy! My dad loved the westerns and some of those shows I would just be passing through the room as I was getting ready to go out on dates with my sweet husband I now! I love Tuesday 4. You always had fun questions!

  3. I've never watched Yellowstone, no reason, I just haven't. I did love James Garner in Maverick and continued to love him throughout his career. My tv stays on, I watch a variety of shows, mostly games shows, documentaries and the Food Network. Much of the time it's on and I'm not even watching it, it's just a noise to keep me company. I know, that's crazy. lol
