Today is left over pizza day. The Little had friends over to watch the Tyson/Paul fight and they had 3 pizzas hardly any of it eaten.
The kids all went home long before the fight as it was bedtime. I was up to see it though and it was obvious Tyson went super easy to let Paul win. We saw Tyson getting ready earlies and sparring with a trainer and he had lost little of his power and ability. It was not the same man in the ring with Paul. But, he walked off with 22 million dollars for the stunt.
When do I feel most authentically myself
This is a strange question as I hope we are all authentically ourselves all the time but, yes, I see where that isn't always possible. When I am left to myself with only myself to please and myself for company is probably when I feel that way.
What I'm thankful for today
I will spend the day with family and friends doing fun things and eating pizza... a perfect combination.
A memory I hope I never forget
I hope I remember almost all my memories that are good and forget the bad.
Other ways I connect with long distant friends
Through blogging and talking via computer.
How I reconnect with myself when I feel lost
I don't feel lost. That is not a problem for me.
Egg Creams : Seltzer, U Bet Chocolate syrup, milk. Served ice cold. If you add ice cream you have an ice cream soda.
Something I’ve let go of, as I’ve grown older
Wishing time to go by etc.
The things I’m most likely to lie about
I am too straight forward. If I think you're wrong you will know it.
What’s something I wish I had more time to learn
History
Social media trends that puzzle me
"influencers" It's kind of odd since most of them have nothing to recommend them but they do seem to be important to very young people.
Local phrases and terms I use often
"You good?.. this means dozens of things. You good...after an argument. You good? . do you have enough food, drink, etc. Your good: Your ID or ticket checks out. . You good.. your safe or okay to go. You good can also mean thank you.
"Yeah.... NO"
"Whadaya gonna do?" said about something no one can help or stop.
"Where yat?"
If I could only wear only three colors, I’d pick these...
Dark Navy, Red, Purple.
Back in 1986, when the movie Ironweed was being filmed inAlbany, NY, I went to an Anita Baker concert at the Palace Theatre. I was with a friend in the music biz, so we got to go backstage. Anita was hanging out with Jack Nicholson (star of the film) and Mike Tyson (who lived and trained in the area). Unfortunately, no cameras were allowed in the Palace.
ReplyDeleteI also think Paul sparred Tyson--meaning he could have beaten him to a pulp, but he didn't. That's respect...they both looked tired though. I'll leave it at that. Pizza sounds good and shame on the girls for not eating, oh well, more pizza for you, LOL.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day, Annie.
I miss pizza so much! I hope you enjoyed it and have had a great day.
ReplyDeleteWe cleaned up the leftover pizza from Friday night today for lunch. It was the home-made pizza that Rose made for us on Friday. It was so good! I didn't see the fight or even know about it. Probably wouldn't have watched it even if I did know. LOL. Never been a boxing fan. I'm surprised hubby didn't watch it. Oh, I remember chocolate sodas from when I used to go to Woolworth's with my mother. No one makes them anymore. I did have a root beer float tonight with root beer and neapolitan ice cream. That was GOOD! I don't do that very often, maybe once a year, but I had some root beer in the fridge since who knows when, and it needed to be used, and so I did. I do love a root beer float!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful week ahead.
Good Morning , All !
ReplyDeleteFor colors to wear...purple , turquoise and a deep green
For a delicious variation on root beer float , try peach ice cream and cream soda !
The pizza with friends was so nice !
