Here are the signs that she is exhausted from abusive relationships.
- Extreme Emotional and Physical Fatigue: She feels constantly drained, as if she has run a marathon, and may exhibit physical symptoms like headaches or a weakened immune system.
- Walking on Eggshells: She constantly fears triggering her partner’s moods, resulting in self-censorship, nervousness, and a tense mental state.
- Isolation from Support Systems: She withdraws from friends and family, due to lack of energy from abuse
- Loss of Self-Confidence and Joy: Her personality feels muted, she lacks confidence, and she no longer finds pleasure in things she once loved, often feeling smaller or disempowered.
- Constant Need to Explain Herself: She feels compelled to defend normal behaviors—like spending time with friends or working—leading to feelings of guilt for attempting to have a life outside the partnership.
Continual emotional abuse of another is nothing but pure evil. These symptoms that a woman can display after years of such abuse brought tears to my eyes. No one should ever be subjected to a life that she can't truly live as her own. Thanks for sharing this, Annie.
