This week's meme was stolen from Country Dew. A decade ago, she shared these "get to know you" questions she found on Facebook. Let's use them to go to know you better.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE ...? 

1. Flavor?  For ice cream it's vanilla.

2. Movie? There are many but I would have to say that one I could see over and over again is Moonstruck.

3. Piece of jewelry?  a necklace with my kids birthstones on it and a locket with my angel kids in it.

4. Place to be?      “Ah! There is nothing like staying at home, for real comfort.”― Jane Austen

5. Boy's name? Jared, David,William

6. Girl's name? Bonnie, Holly , Noelle, Kathryn, Meri,Hannelie, Anneliese.

7. Candy? Snickers. (chocolate, caramel and peanuts)

8. Sports team?  I really don't have one.  But though I don't follow sports yet had to choose I would say the New York Yankees for baseball, the Knicks (New York Knickerbockers) for basketball,   Philadelphia Eagles for football, 

So where did Knickerbocker come from?   New  York state was originally a Dutch colony in 1625 called Nieuw Nederland and so many of the words used there and the place names are Dutch. Same here in New Jersey, many places have Dutch names and Dutch founders.  So the Dutch settles of New York were given the name Knicherbockers.

9. Color?  I like greens, deep reds, purples, deep blues and pale yellow.

10. Month?  I like the "Ber" Months.. all of the them!
