Doggy Update and a Good Laugh

Daisy is doing a bit better since her oncologist has placed her on prednisone to keep the swelling of the lymph glands to a minimum.   Her neck was swollen to four times normal width.
Though there is no cure for this  we are trying natural remedies which have shown some very powerful and positive results for other dogs.  If they cure her, wonderful.  If it prolongs her life or gives her relief, wonderful too but at least we tried to do what we could.
We believe that when you take on an animal as a pet and companion you must do the best you can for them.
Do you know that the bible says that a man who regards the life of his animal is considered righteous and that you are to feed your animals before you serve yourself a meal?
Proverbs 12:"Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his animal..."

Today was our first really chilly morning.  I woke up to temperatures in the 30's and now this afternoon it has warmed up to the 50s.
What is it like where you are?

I have moved my 'friends' to the line below the header. It will take you to all my friends blogs which I keep on a separate page, which, in reality is a separate blog of it's own!

I have to share this with you.   If you haven't seen these videos you are in for a treat as they are very funny.
As Proverbs says, "A joyful heart is good medicine,  but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."
So let's laugh our way to good health.

  1. Hi Annie, our weather has finally cooled down. We will have a couple of hotter days midweek and then it will go back down. That is the way we live in So CA. Cute doggy video! I just updated my blog and have a couple of pics of the grands. Have a great week. Hugs

  2. Hi Annie! I'm sorry I've been missing, but my health scare put everything else on the back burner for awhile. I am doing fine though, & hoping that this week will finally see me able to get back to my normal routine. I posted in my blog tonight & will do an update post tomorrow to catch everyone up. I am so blessed with caring online friends. Thank you so much for your prayers.

I will keep Daisy in my prayers too. Such a sweet looking furbaby.

It was 88F here today, & I would love to trade you temps for a day. :) In many ways, it still feels like summer here.

Loved catching up here tonight Annie. I would love to comment on everything, but I'm afraid I'd leave a small book as a comment then. Oh, I must say though - I 'love' your header!! So beautiful! It reminds me of a barn scene from childhood on a fall night. Absolutely beautiful! I wish you'd think about doing some of these on canvas. I would definitely buy that one! Hugs

  3. I have seen some of these videos before. They are a hoot!! I'm glad that your dog is getting some relief. I agree, that when you take in an animal they become a part of the family and you do all you can. God bless.

  4. Glad to read that Daisy is doing a bit better. :) Cute video.
It's partly sunny here at the moment, after a stormy night/morning with gales. We are expecting to be hit by the Atlantic storms... hope not! We have been in the 30s but today it's warmer, we should have a high of 46. Enjoy your day! :))

I sent two last night, & the news ones tonight. Have you received them? I want to make sure they got to you. Have a wonderful day/evening. Hugs!

  7. Hi Annie; I'm so glad Daisy is doing well. I also believe that taking in a pet, they should be treated as members of the family. I enjoyed the video. The weather has been cold here too and I've been hit with an early virus and haven't been online much. Hope your day is a blessed one my friend.
