Stealing Questions

The gentle humor of The Family Circus was always a favorite of mine with lots of funny cartoons you could relate to.

Here is Sunday Stealing stolen this week from  Friday Five.

1) What is your favorite thing about winter?
The blustery, cold days, silver skies and snow.

2) What is your favorite winter sport?
It used to be ice skating all winter long .

3) What is the best winter treat?
A hot bowl of chili with cheese, beef stew or chicken pot pie... all of them homemade.

4) What is the earliest time in the year it ever snowed where you live?
In autumn.  But it sometimes snows in April and that would be an early time of the new year right?

5) What is the best way to stay warm in the winter?
Turn up the heat  wear warm slippers and a nice fluffy robe.

6) What are your favorite things that are paper?
Notebooks.  I just really love notebooks and office/school supplies.

7) What are your favorite things that are cotton?
Tee Shirts and blouses.

8) What are your favorite things that are leather?
A good pair of leather shoes.

9) What are your favorite things that are floral?
Gardens

10) What are your favorite things that are wood?
Balsam Fir.  I love the scent of them.

11) If you think your house is haunted, what should you do?
Get psychiatric help for your delusion and/or call a priest.

12) When should you investigate a strange noise in your basement?
When you have a squad of Marines doing it for you.  However, I don't have a basement as I am too close to the water and the water table is too high for one.

13) How do you know if an abandoned building is safe to visit?
You ask a local boy scout.    Better yet you stay out of  abandoned buildings altogether. Its a dumb idea to visit one.

14) How do you decide whether to solve a problem as a team, or split up and go it alone?
By the caliber of the people on the team

15) Where do you store your knives and where would you look if one was missing?
They are stored  in an old life boat out at the inlet by the lighthouse.  If one was missing I would look for it in the pocket of a Japanese chef from Tokyo.

  1. When I was a kid, my mother fell on the slippery steps on Mother's Day in May. My wife's outdoor graduation on May 18, 2002 was moved inside because of snow.

  4. I have a lot of office supplies, too. I have a tub of new notebooks and had to promise not to buy anymore. That was back when you could pick them up for 10 cents each.

  5. I enjoyed your answers. For #11 I would call on the name of Jesus too because it's not a "ghost" since there's no such thing. There is, however, demon activity. Those threats can be real. That's why I pray daily for a hedge of protection and thank Him for that. He is our provider and protector.
    Blessings. 💙
