In July

July is the month of outdoor living.
Monday was the best chicken piccata I ever made.
Tuesday was rainy.
Wednesday was a quiet day of reflection and peace/
Thursday was a day of celebration, company,  hot dogs and ice cream...
“A republic, if you can keep it.”----Benjamin Franklin's response to Elizabeth Willing Powel's question: "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?"

"The bombs bursting in air gave proof through the night that our flag was still there"
Evening creeps in slowly without fanfare.
The boats on the cove lend a friendly touch to the neighborhood as people arrive to visit.

  3. Wonderful -photos. I'm glad you can be outdoors in July where you live. We can barely breathe outdoors in July, between the high heat and humidity, it is just too steamy and literally breath-taking. So we enjoy our summer celebrations from inside the air conditioned house. I love your photos, however. Glad you had a nice celebration with family/friends.
