I realized today that I have been doing Tuesday 4 for more than 4 years now! It just doesn't seem that long.
Tempus fugit!
Here are this week's questions.................
1. What do you do on a typical weekend? Saturday? Sunday? How do you make them delightful or joyous?
Typically I do not much at all. I rest on Saturday and Sunday. I do my work and cooking on weekdays. Saturday is the 7th day the day of rest. Sunday is for visiting, going out or doing things you have no time for on other days.
2. What sources of joy do you find in your days?
The weather from sun to snow, the ocean, the birds, the forest, the trees, the wonderful change of seasons. I love it all and find it all produces some joy. The fact that we can experience the feeling of happiness, love and joy is in itself a great miracle and a great joy and delight!
3. What's for dinner tonight? How will you make it a delight and a joy?
Tonight I will saute broccoli with garlic and olive oil then toss with some spaghetti and squeeze a fresh lemon over it all. I might add some grated cheese on top. The scent of the fresh lemon is a delight.
I make my meals a joy by eating them on my lovely pink dish from Portugal . Then I listen to music as I eat. Sometimes I listen to a story or an old time radio broadcast. I finish my meal with hot tea or coffee and that is a delightful thing to do. I end my meal with saying grace as I began my meal. I do this no matter where I am though I do not do it out loud but silently. I only pray out loud if I have company or family over to eat and then since I am head of my household I say the prayers for everyone.
4. How are you doing personally and how can we add to the joy and delight in your days?
I am in a lot of pain lately all the time and could use some prayer. It is a bit discouraging and tiring... very tiring. When people pray it is so obvious in my life and that fills me with joy.
Each week, more than a hundred people visit and read the Tuesday 4 but only a few join in. I wonder why? I had hoped it would grow and maybe it still will! You never know.
I do keep you in prayer my sweet friend. smiles
ReplyDeleteHello !
ReplyDeleteYour headers are wonderful !
There is so much for which to be grateful and gratitude seems to be the seed that brings joy !
Dear Annie, I'm sorry I didn't make it to the "party" yesterday. I was planning to try to jump in today. Yesterday was a difficult day for me and so I wrote about what was on my heart yesterday. I am very thankful for you and what you do each week to keep this meme going in Toni's memory. I know she would be pleased. I enjoyed your post and the things that bring joy to you. I like what you said about eating your meals from a special dish that brings joy to you. I tend to do that too. Isn't it interesting that something as simple as a plate or bowl that is special can bring a feeling of joy? I totally get it. I am sorry you are having so much pain these days. I hope that when the weather warms up it will get better. I know rain and cold are a bad mix for arthritis and other aching joints, etc., as I am experiencing a lot of that these days too, even here in Florida. Warmer weather and sunshine will be a big help. I hope you have a blessed rest of your week. Thank you for doing this.
ReplyDeleteOh, I didn't know about challenge, but it's interesting for me and therefore I will try to give my thoughts too to this challenge. I believe, I like it.
ReplyDeleteBy the war... good, good wishes. I know about pain too.
Thank you for sharing and for hosting.
