Here is something worth thinking about:
So is this:
“She was stronger alone; and her own good sense so well supported her, that her firmness was as unshaken, her appearance of cheerfulness as invariable, as, with regrets so poignant and so fresh, it was possible for them to be.” ― Jane Austen, Sense and Sensibility
Margaret Thatcher quotes:
“In politics, if you want anything said, ask a man. If you want anything done, ask a woman."
“The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
“Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren't.”
“You can't shake hands with a clenched fist.” ― Indira Gandhi .. preach it sister!
I sure hope people see me different from a doormat! Ha! So many great quotes from great women. Margaret Thatcher and Indira Gandhi were especially intelligent women, for sure. Have a very blessed day!
ReplyDeleteSometimes there is a war between men and women that doesn't have to be.
ReplyDeleteIt has always pissed me off that many see strong women as bitches not just men but other women as well
ReplyDeleteGreat quotes. the true strength of women is greatly underestimated. But a woman does not have to be in the limelight to exercise her strength. Many women are behind the scenes, making it possible for others to shine, and her strength lies in her ability to be proud of those in the limelight while she may be standing the background cheering them on. Either way, whether she is the one "on the stage", or the one in the background, her position is most valuable and marvelous.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the quotes from Margaret Thatcher, Annie. What in the world would men be without strong women? Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWonderful quotes !
ReplyDeleteEach gender has its purpose and place . The Proverbs 31 woman is a terrific "blueprint" , to be followed as each is able...so many talents and abilities in each of us !
