Happy Weekend.
Welcome to Saturday 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love to answer the questions, however, and here are today's questions!
Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.
1) In this song, Gracie Abrams can't stop thinking about her ex. Who is on your mind this morning?
On Friday morning, when this is written, no one in particular is on my mind. My thoughts are sort of blank this morning.
2) She wonders if she should warn his new girl about him. Think of the last time someone offered you advice. Did you take it?
Yes, in my own way I did.
3) She concludes her old boyfriend wasn't worthy of her love and attention, and now sees him as "just another dude." What is something you regret spending time on? (It doesn't have to be a romance.)
Not much really.
4) On July 31, Gracie Abrams performed at Lollapalooza in Chicago. More than 100,000 attended the first day of the outdoor festival. It was sunny and 79º. Describe your perfect day (weatherwise).
My perfect day depends on the season.
In summer it is in the 80s, light breeze off the water and blue skies.
In spring it would be temperature about 70, sunny or rainy.
In Autumn it is temperatures in the 50-60sF , breezy, crisp with a sunny day and a drizzly or rainy evening.
In Winter it is in the 30-40s with silvery skies, breezy days and windy nights and perhaps a sprinkling of snow.
5) Gracie's father is J.J. Abrams, perhaps best known for directing the 2009 Star Trek movie and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Would you rather watch Star Trek or Star Wars?
Star Trek. I never really found Star Wars interesting.
6) She is very much a 21st century artist in that she doesn't rely on radio to introduce her music to her fans, often sharing demos on TikTok. Do you watch, or create content for, TikTok?
No. I don't go use TikTok at all.
7) In 2024, when "That's So True" was released, Madonna set a record.
Her free concert in Brazil drew the largest audience (1.6 million) ever. What's your favorite Madonna song?
I don't have a favorite Madonna song that I can think of but I am really not a fan of that genre of music.
8) Also in 2024, former President Jimmy Carter died. In addition to his work in politics and philanthropy, Mr. Carter wrote more than 30 books. Who wrote the last book you finished?
Danielle Steele .
9) Random question: What sound stresses you out? I don't like the sound of motorcycles. I also dislike
the sound of gobbldeegook blasted on loud speakers. I don't like the sound of vocal fry. The croaking lies of politicians and scientists.

We were out today and a motorcycle went by us with the speakers so loud I could hear in my car over his bike noise and our car noise.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful day today!
ReplyDelete...also a big fan of your paintings (lovely header !)
I do not like the sounds of motorcycles either. Your summer beach weather sounds wonderful!
