I had to put a caption on this cute photo.
Well I finally got my dresser drawer fixed and did it myself too! I am so proud of myself.
I used hot furniture glue to fit in the miss-cut piece for the bottom and banged in a screw with a hammer to hold it on one side. Yes, yes, I know.. I know.
Then I used a ton more glue to hold the darn thing in and it seems to be working.
It looks awful but it works! And now I have a dresser again. The other two drawers below it had taken a beating too but I finally got things squared away with some jury rigging and my trusty hot glue gun!
I am telling you ... duct tape, brad nails and a hot glue gun do the trick.
I have to tell you a fun story that is true.
I was in Home Depot looking for something in the nail aisle and a woman was asking one of the salemen for some specific nails. He had no idea on earth what she wanted. The conversation went on for a long while too as he tried to sort out what she was talking about. So being me I just had to offer to help. I asked her what she wanted the nails for. She said, "to hang up small pictures on my wall, you know with those special do everything nails".
Being a do it yourself girl I knew exactly what she meant.. those small silver brads that , well, do just about everything.
Now it's time to relax and do some painting.
Congratulations on getting your dresser fixed.
