Wednesday's Plans
Blogger is having a real influx of really yukky spam for all manner of silly pharmaceuticals and things.
I tried instituting comments from registered users only on my big blog ( I have a political blog). No good. Didn't work so it's gone now.
I suppose the only thing to do is put on captcha, the code thing you write in.
I am sorry to have to, but the spam is outrageous lately.
I never got any before, so I was lucky I guess.
It's very cold here so that the bay is pretty much frozen over in places. Salt water frozen over.. now that's a real cold snap. Ice boaters will be loving it.
Today I will be looking for an area rug for my living room. I got a gift certificate a while back and since the floor is chilly a rug in the living room will warm it up nicely. I had one in there before but when my dog got ill she ruined it at one point and I never replaced it because it didn't make sense at the time.
Now in the icy weather it really does make sense.
But, rest assured, just as with the snow boots , so it will be with the area rug. I will buy one and the temperatures will soar to incredible heights never before seen in America!
I hope your Wednesday is bright and cheery.

Hi Annie: I love your header. You're a fantastic artist!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find the rug you love.
Have a great day and stay warm.
HUGS
Happy Wednesday Annie;
ReplyDeleteI went through the same thing with Blogger comments in November and dropped it for a few weeks using Haloscan (which is now gone) Since I activated Blogger's comment board again I haven't had a problem.
They say that the bitter cold will last for quite awhile now. This has been the coldest winter we've had in over a decade. :-(
Dress warm and cosy when you go out for your rug my friend. Hugs
Hi Annie! A nice cozy area rug will warm things up nicely! That's so lucky for you and your granddaughter that you had that wonderful bonding experience. My mom lived with us all the while my kids were growing up and they loved her so much. She played all the little games with them and was so patient with them. She was Nana and that's why Jessica said I had to find another name because there could only be one Nana. ;) Hence Nani! :D (((Hugz)))
ReplyDeleteGood Morning !
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here , too ! This little cottage still has single-pane windows , so those nifty window film kits will have to stand in the breach . Love the new header ! It has a warm-and-cozy-homey feel to it . Thank you for sharing !
We had the same dilemma with "Nana" - that was my grandmother's title . When my kids came along , she became "Little Nana" and my mom was dubbed "Big Nana" ( although only 2" taller !).It will be too hard to fill those shoes...maybe I'll be "Grammie"...
Have a wonderful day !
