into the Weekend

The skies are darkening and we are under a severe weather watch here in south Jersey.       "Wild weather" is what NJ.com calls it.

"It could be a wild afternoon in New Jersey.
The National Weather Service is predicting a myriad of severe weather conditions could inundate the state this afternoon, with flash flooding, hail, strong microbursts or tornadoes all possible as a storm system moves into the area this afternoon."

Well it could be a wild afternoon any day, anywhere you just never know.
Cut off way too much sail and showing way too much bay.

But for now though skies are darkening it is peaceful and I pray it remains that way.  Storms can just stay away.
I would love to have a nice , peaceful weekend.
A new header is up for a bit. It isn't finished. As a matter of fact many of the painting "slices" I put up are from unfinished work because I continue to edit and refine the things I paint.
And this one I am not completely sure of.  So, it will be a work in progress for now.

Floors are down in the tiny apartment. Brazilian cherry colored wood in wide planks. Its very nice. Windows are in as well. We will see what develops on that front. It is very tiny and I have decisions to make on what to keep and what not to.. decisions I would just rather not make.

I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend.
And if you want a wild weekend, I hope it isn't the kind predicted by the US Weather service!

  2. Hi Annie;

I got that wild weather outside my window at this very moment. I tried leaving a message about an hour ago and I got the "Service is Unavailvble" error. Hopefully this one goes through.

Your wood floors sound perfect. I love cherry wood. I hope you will be able to keep your favorite things and put the rest in storage as you never know what lies ahead. I also hope you'll be very happy and content in your new apt. home.

I love your unfinished art just the same as the finished paintings/headers. I can feel the roughness of the sea in this one. I have the same habit as you with my graphics and pop art. I'm always changing and tweaking them. I use to do the same with my paintig years back. Now I do it with a "mouse".. LOL!

Have a lovely weekend my friend.

  4. Hello Annie! I've just spent a lovely amount of time here catching up with you (read back through March). I truly do love the way you write! I'm not back to blogging, but do want to get back to keeping up with my reads. I miss not knowing what each of you are doing. I see that you are making a move. It sounds as though it is going to be cozy & warm. Sometimes (most tmes), bringing simplicity back to life, opens life up. I do hope you are going to be very happy there. Sounds like it will be lovely.

The story of Garfield & the hole in his food, made me laugh. I loved seeing him peering out at the water....would love to see his sweet face!

I see the Radio Mystery Theatre button here...I will go check it out. We started our marriage out by agreeing to not having a tv for the first 5 years. We spent time going on long walks, talking (a lot!), reading, & playing board games. We used to LOVE listening to Radio Mystery Theatre on the local radio station. Thank you for reminding me about this. I am going to listen to one (or two) tonight.

So much more that I would like to comment on, but don't want to go too long. Have a wonderful weekend, & I hope the 'wild' weather turns out to be tame for you. Hugs!

  5. Hi Annie,
I hope the storm that you were expecting didn't transpire. Our weather cooled way down to the 80's that I love it at those temps. Your floors sound lovely even though I know you aren't wild about the move. I am sure it all work out for you. Have a wonderful Sunday evening.
    Hugs, Dru
