Vignette by the Bay

Many families spend their weekends on their sailboats letting the salt air ease away the cares of the work week and letting the waves rock them gently to sleep each night.

Sunday's lovely temperatures and gentle breezes ended with a sweet lavender/pink sunset.
My friend and I ate our dinner - chicken and french fries and iced tea. -by the water and just enjoyed it all .  It was so nice.

I don't own a boat of any kind, but I adore just sitting here, watching , breathing, feeling the breeze. Wading is as good as swimming. Though as a kid I swam like a fish all day long through the summers in hidden coves.

Life has not been easy and this is a huge blessing that only God could give.
I thank him daily for it.
Do we ever really know all of the great things done for us as gifts in our life?
I suspect we each have many that might even go unnoticed.
A small kindness here or there from a friend or stranger, just when our hearts needed it.
A sunset to awe us when our soul  needed beauty.
I think there are hundreds of such gifts to be thankful for in our daily lives.

If we treasure the moments, the vignettes we see each day will stand out for us.

  2. Hi Annie;

    How wonderful it must be to live near the bay and be able to watch nature's beauty all around you. You describe the day so wonderful that I almost feel like I was there enjoying it too.

    I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like the new Blogger in Draft look. I hope the end look will be one I can get used to. Right now I'll stay with the old look. I still use the old editor to enter my posts in HTML.

    Have a lovely day my friend. ;-}

  4. Hello Annie, what a pretty sunset, I can sit by the ocean for hours too, time just flies & the sound of the waves is so relaxing. I love to walk on the beach too & do it daily with Buddy unless it rains.
    I hope your week is starting well!
