The Beauty in Your Own Place,,Photo project
No matter where you live, no matter what environment, there is beauty.
In a city, in a town, a village, the country, a house, a farm, an apartment, there is beauty surrounding you that no one else has.
Your home , your yard is nicer than anyone else's. I promise.
That's because it is yours and has your own touch.
If you take a photo of a room in your home and crop it down into a pretty vignette, you will see what I mean. The rest of the room can be a mess but cropping can make all the difference. Suddenly there is a beautiful little scene right in the midst of a sloppy old room even if it needs work.
Outside you might see a pile of dandelions in the lawn. But they are a lovely little bouquet waiting to be seen.
Everything has beauty if we open our eyes to see.
Would you like to be part of a little project and take a photo around your home or outside...anywhere you like and then show the beauty in it.
If you don't have the ability to crop a photo, PicMonkey and other online programs are available to help you and if that isn't something you can do, I would be happy to crop and fix any photo for you in Photoshop. Just ask :).
This photo was taken when the pond was a mess. But I cropped it and added a quote using Photoshop.
Will you try this little project? I think it might be fun to do. It could even become a monthly project ..something to blog about anyway.

You are so right. So pretty. I don't have and probably couldn't use photoshop but what a good idea. Hope you are keeping cool.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday Annie,
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about taking a photo. I could go thru all my already taken photos and do just that like you did with your lovely pond. Hope you have a wonderful Monday.
Hugs, Dru
Hi Annie! That's interesting that your mother and husband and my Jeff all share July 8th as their birthday. I was going to share a photo of my begonias soon. It's not that much of a vignette but I've never grown them before and they have been pretty spectacular so now I'm a big fan of begonias! Hope you have a great week ahead!
ReplyDeletePS. Heard about people losing fish in their ponds lately due to the heat waves across the US. Guess you could throw a big chunck of ice in the pond!
With this post Annie ... the beauty in your heart is showing through. I love your words, they bring blessing.
ReplyDeleteAh, cropping. What would I do without it?
ReplyDeleteHi Annie,
ReplyDeleteCame by to wish you a happy Tuesday.
Hugs, Dru
You are right, beauty is everywhere. Lovely pond you have, Annie.
ReplyDeleteIsn't cropping great? I use Picasa for cropping photos and adding neat effects, it really works well.
