In the deep and quiet winter
shaded 'or in frosty white
icy winds and sparkling crystal
bring the world a sweet delight.
All the woods in dreamy slumber
rest the frozen days away
Nothing breaks the silent wonder
in the forest world today.

when the gales begin to blow
all the woods in lazy slumber
sleeps 'neath blankets white with snow.
