Monday Mutterings

Skies are clear and blue and the temperature is a sweet and lovely 39°F or 3.8°C.
This gull prefers drinking from the puddle than from the bay which is just in front of us (my back is to the other side of the bay I say other side because this is a little peninsula and the bay is on both sides and the ocean to the right of the gull across the bay.
Their little feet can stand a lot of cold as the water is frigid!
You can see the boats are still wrapped up for winter. Soon they will come out of their cocoons and be seaworthy again.  The sea grass will turn green, the phragmites will be 12 feet tall and the birds will dip and dive in the wind.

And God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.” Genesis

Here is the view behind me...

The sea is His, for it was He who made it, And His hands formed the dry land. Ps. 95

And to my right...

Psalm 107:29 He caused the storm to be still, So that the waves of the sea were hushed.

  3. Annie, I so enjoyed reading here today. I love it when you share pictures of your world around you...but today was even more special. I love the Scripture that you've used with them. And I loved hearing the wind and water on the short video clip!

  4. Thank you for this beautiful view of the bay around you...and I love your "unconscious mutterings"...when we mutter with God's glorious creation and speak His words of praise that is a good way to mutter...my hope would be if I am ever unconscious, that is what I would be muttering...praise to our God for His goodness to us. Oh, I know, the mutterings were the words uttered above, but I thought about it all the way through the post. Lovely, and thank you for a great start to my very rainy and stormy morning here in Florida! Lightning all night long, and LOTS of rain! I think we now have waterfront property! When it is daylight I will try to take a picture of whatever is out there!! But we need the rain, so I'm not complaining...
