A Sunday Thief.

So glad that Bev is back with another Sunday Stealing!

Stolen from Facebook!

1) What is your favorite TV show (currently)?
Well.....I am a radio freak. I adore old time radio programs, so most of the time I am listening to radio rather than TV. I always like CBS Mystery Radio Theater.   I also enjoy Yours Truly Johnny Dollar, Barrie Craig, Confidential Investigator,Night Beat, Casey, Crime Photographer. I also enjoy A Date with Judy.
I am currently watching reruns of The Ozzie and Harriet Show on YouTube and  film noir there as well. (I love film noir!!)

2) Would you like to be a child again?
Yes!! Absolutely.  Would love to be a teenager again for sure too.  I had fun as a kid.

3) Has anyone ever told you that school times were the best period of his/her life? Would you say that to someone? Why?
Yes and I've said it as well. It is the time you are forming your character and your mind. You can be relatively free from burdens of responsibility.   If I could go back, I'd want to keep my present mind and knowledge and just sight see a bit. But, yeah, it would be nice and I love going to school.

 4) How's the weather?
It's cold and blustery with storms to the south of me. Big Nor'easter heading up the coast.

5) Do you like camping?
Yes indeed and did a lot of it here in NJ and in Utah up in the

mountains.

6) Do you believe in paranormal phenomena?
Yes. Things happen. Most of it is science you don't understand yet.

7) If you would create a holiday, what would it be called and how would we celebrate it? When would this holiday be?
It would be Happy Day and you have an elegant dinner, decorations and special movies, games, etc.

8) What word(s) do you dislike? Can you tell why?
I do not like trashy words for male or female body parts. I find them sexist and ugly and filled with hatred.
For that matter I don't like words that are trashy or demeaning to describe people on any level or for any reason.

9) What color do you dislike? What do you associate with it?
I don't dislike a color that I can think of.

10) Do you believe in otherworldly creatures, eg. ghosts, etc?
I do not believe the dead can have anything to do with the living, so not ghosts but I do believe there are evil entities that pose as ghosts or whatever.

11) Pick two of your favourite fictional characters. Where are they from (what movie, book, etc?) and why are they your favourite?
The Desk Set
I picked 4 and probably can pick a few more. Hope no one minds or that I haven't broken some rule !
Hercule Poirot and Miss Jane Marple and Phryne Fisher(Fry-Knee) of Miss Fishers Murder Mysteries.
They all have unique ways about them. Poirot is super intelligent, kind, a closet romantic and fastidious to a fault.
Miss Marple is also very intelligent and a great student of human nature. She sees through deceit and lies.
Phryne Fisher is a free spirit with strong determination to see justice done.
And Katherine Hepburn in Desk Set.. a smart, lovely person with a great sense of humor in that movie.

12) If you could change anything or add anything to your body would you? (this can be interpreted however, but, think, would you like to have fins or extra hands?)
I would turn back the clock to be younger, have my spine repaired like new, etc.
I would also love to be able to fly and be invisible whenever I want.

13) What are some family traditions you have/had growing up? Do you still continue them, if yes, why, if no, why not?
The Sunday drive was big when I was growing up. People really no longer do that and that is sad.

14) What do you think of tattoos? Do you have any?
I think some of them are very artistic but, I don't have any and don't want any really.

15)  What is the most disgusting habit some people have?
Coughing without covering, same with sneezing and spitting in public. People who do not wash their hands after bathroom or before cooking or serving others.

16)  If you could bring back one TV show that was cancelled, which would it be?
Can't think of only one.. so... here is my list:

WKRP In Cincinnati (of course about radio.. duh..)
Family Ties
Love Boat
Family Matters
                  Dawson's Creek
Gossip Girl
The Waltons
Keeping Up Appearances(British TV)
Rosemary and Thyme (British TV)
Touch of  Frost(British TV)
Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries.. the original one
The Twilight Zone
One Tree Hill

17) What was the most unsettling film you have ever seen?
A movie about the Bolshevik  mass executions of innocent Russians (they say 100 million). True story called The Chekist.   Horrific stuff.

18) What book has impacted you the most?
I would have to say he biblical book of proverbs. One of the most educational books there is.
Solves many problems for life, death, psychology.. you name it, the answers are in it.

19) You're on Death Row and get one final meal: What is that meal and why do you choose it?
Ugh.. horrible.  I would not be able to eat.

20) What is the first profession you remember wanting to become as a child?

 Probably a rancher/cowgirl.

  2. I Like your answer to (6). I am a true believer in science but my imagination loves the paranormal and to combine the two beliefs is definitely something I can relate to.

    :o)

    Cheers

  3. I can tell you with utmost certainty #6 is true...and I will refrain from further telling you about it. ANYWAYS--I forgot about the Sunday Stealing. Hope you have a great day--I will have to read more about that storm.

  4. Bunny (Desk Set) is a great choice! She was smart and funny and had a most awesome green thumb.

  5. I would not want to be any younger than about 28 or so. I felt like I could make really good choices and decisions then and my body did not hurt and I could still lose weight easily. Hee hee. Loved your answers! Have a nice day.

  7. We thought the same thing about..last meals.
Someone else said of the paranormal, and I agree, that we just haven’t got the science of it revealed to us yet.
This was a lovely, lively read! Thank you!
    Another Phryne Fisher fan! Yay!
