Nor'easters can be as severe as any hurricane
. Yesterday's storm did not do as much damage to our coastal area as others have. Most damage was in North Jersey where small dams collapsed and rivers flooded over their banks..which happens all too often up there.
I took this photo after a Nor'easter a few years ago. I love the color combination in it. The fresh green adds just a little something extra to the autumn colors. Don't you think so too?

Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord
my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty,
covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the
heavens like a tent. He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters; he
makes the clouds his chariot; he rides on the wings of the wind; he
makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire. He set the
earth on its foundations, so that it should never be moved. ... psalm 104

Glad you are safe! Those fall leaves are so pretty! Enjoy the rest of the week Annie!
ReplyDeleteFallen leaves have their own beauty. Snapped a picture of a Long Leaf Pine Cone on the ground that was completely destroyed by a Grey Squirrel. I thought it look kinda cool. Beauty is all around us if we'll only look.
ReplyDeleteGlad y'all are safe. Love this time of year.
Blessings. xx
Beautiful photo, and I am so glad to hear it wasn't as severe near you as feared. I was praying for you when I saw how bad it was elsewhere. Glad God heard my prayers. I do love that leaf photo. Very pretty indeed with the variety of colors. And I love the verse you shared. Thank you. Hope you are doing well. I am recuperating...each day is better than the day before, so that is good. God is good, and I am very thankful. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteAmazing , the joy in unexpected beauty !
ReplyDeleteI've been taking photos of the tiny plants that grow in the cracks of pavement . When enlarged , they are gorgeous , complete with miniscule blossoms , yet dismissed by some as worthless "weeds" scheduled to be torn up at the earliest moment . Are we not to not to notice the Creator's handiwork everywhere , and delight to find it in surprising places ?
