Let's talk about December and what it has in store for you....
1. How much importance do you place on December holidays? Do you plan and prepare? Is that part of the fun for you or would you rather dispense with it?
"Twas the night before Christmas..." |
2.
Food is a big part of the holiday season. Which foods and treats do
you most look forward to having? I love all the foods of Thanksgiving
and the warm treats and delights of December. I am especially fond of
Latkes (potato pancales) and snowball cookies.
3.
It is a season for family, friends, guests and giving. Would you write
a bit about how it all comes together for you in December? We
celebrate with friends and family. The more the merrier as far as we are
concerned. We enjoy having guests and making a fuss over them Giving
of time and preparations to make everyone feel special, at home and well
cared for are a joy for us. Out best gift of the season is when people
gush about what a good time they've had. Oh.. I just adore
entertaining people. It really is important to me and I love the house filled with people.
4. Life changes and traditions alter due to those changes. Has anything changed for you and if so how? If not, would you mind sharing your traditions with us?
Nothing has really changed. Traditions begin
with Thanksgiving and watching A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott.
The rest of the month is spent decorating, cooking and making special
times with friends and family There are things going all month long
until New Years Day. Food, games and movies are the order of the day.
Thank you so much for keeping this meme alive. If you have topics or subjects you would like to see here, let me know and I will be happy to accommodate you. I don't ever want this to become dull or boring and that can easily happen. Your input is important and your participation means so much to me.
For some odd reason I can see you standing there going, "bring it on, more and more." grin---like an evil scientist. LOLOLOL--JK
ReplyDeleteI am with you; I do love a full house. I hope you have a beautiful day, my friend. smiles
Latkes! Yum. I haven't had those in ages.
ReplyDelete#3 ~ Once Upon A Time I was like that too. I would plan, entertain, decorate, cook, feed others, etc. I don't have the energy for that anymore.
Blessings. xx
I need to find a Christmas Carol to watch. I usually watch the 1950's version. I like to entertain but my husband doesn't. Enjoy the holidays!
ReplyDeleteI love the sounds of the activities around your home during the holidays. It sounds like a happy happy time, and you are in your element. Thank you for doing this meme and helping us all to think about these things. Have a blessed and wonderful holiday season.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that you are hospitable and enjoy it so much. We need more people like you. Enjoy the season.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful season !!!
ReplyDeleteI'm delighted to extend it fore and aft. Thanksgiving is a special time...so very much for which to be grateful ! It used to be a time to carry on the traditions of my maternal line to prepare a feast from scratch - soup to dessert...a gift of love for the family . That tradition has been passed down to those next in line , but it is as lovely to still be called upon for my favorite appetizers , as it is to be tucked into the dear friend's family who requests them !!!
Thank you for all you do , my friend !
I enjoyed your answers. I love the December Holidays
