Hooray for Hollywood

Hi and welcome to my blog and another Tursday 4.

Welcome back to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4 where we ask just 4 questions each week to get you thinking, talking, blogging and making new friends.

According to the late Jordan Maxwell,  Hollywood is named for the fact that the holly was used for magic wands by the Druids. This is where term "Hollywood Magic" comes from. People are under it's 'spell'.    Another story says that  H.J. Whitley the father of Hollywood saw a Chinese man hauling wood on the hills overlooking the future site  and asked him what he was doing.  "I holly wood" he said meaning hauling wood.   It occurred to Whitley that holly wood was a great name for his new town.

1  During WW2 Marilyn Monroe was an aircraft factory inspector.  She was no dumb blonde but had an above average IQ.     Do you know some Hollywood or record industry trivia?

Here's something:  You pay to have your star on the walk of fame in Hollywood. $30,000 to be precise.

My father was friends with Keir Dullea's dad. Keir starred in the movie 2001.  As a promotion for advertising, Mr. Dullea gave my dad prime tickets to the Papermill Playhouse for every show.   I got to see some wonderful Broadway shows there with big name stars.  The tickets were always for prime orchestra seating.   I loved it!

2. Would you share with us the funniest movie you have ever seen?          How about the most dramatic?

In my opinion the funniest was Zorro the Gay Blade.   The most dramatic was A Man for All Seasons

3.  Has a movie ever really moved you or changed the way you see things?

A Man for all Seasons changed some things for me.. the courage displayed by Sir Thomas Moore was inspiring.

4. Do you have movie nights at your house with special snacks, treats  etc.?  If not movies, was there something else around which you created a  special family night?

Yes.
Depends on the crew but popcorn or taco salad in a bag are the key foods.

Take a bag of Nacho chips , Doritos, etc. Mix them with taco meat, cheese, tomato, shredded lettuce, sour cream and salsa.    Stuff back into the bag and eat

I hope you enjoyed this week's Tuesday 4.   Feel free to suggest topics.

I was trying to think of some topics. Have we done one about playing games,(favorite board game, favorite card game, do you play games on your phone or computer, etc) or a would you rather...like would you rather would you rather have more time or more money, etc. Maybe favorite things: give 4 topics...we might have done this.

Working in the Hamptons in the 70's was interesting for spotting celebrities...artists , clothing designers , famous company founders , etc .
    Have a terrific day !
