It is time for Sunday Stealing which is up but colored black and you have to highlight it to see it.
1. What did you do today? Today I watched as the famous Anonymous kid helped me take leaves out of my pond.
a. It's right on Barnegat Bay
b. It's right across from the ocean and barrier islands
c. Sea breezes keep the air super clean and clear
d. It's beautiful with tons of things to do and see
e. It;s rated one of the safest places in the USA. Crime is extremely low here.
3. What are the must-sees sights around you?
The Atlantic Ocean and our clean, safe beaches. The Pine Barrens with millions of acres of gorgeous pine forest and Caribbean blue lakes, clear water streams. Atlantic City is pretty cool and we are just an hour from Philadelphia and 1 1/2 from NYCity yet we are country and resort land.
4. What’s your favorite restaurant meal?
Anything Mexican or Italian. I do like Veal or chicken Francaise if its done right.
5. What was the last thing you cooked or ate? Beef and green beans tonight.
6. What is something you learned from your grandparents.
I learned to love trains from my grandfather and my grandmother taught me to put my shoes on in the house and not go barefoot constantly. I learned to play piano by watching her.
Tonight (Saturday) it is 45°F mainly clear with a quarter moon and some clouds.
8. Share an interesting fact that you’ve learned, and which most people are not aware of.
That the President of the United States is NOT the Commander in Chief except if Congress declares him so during a Congressionally declared war. So the last commander in Chief was President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
8. Are there any local events or festivals in your area?
There are boat festivals all the time. We just had October Fest too. Spooky Night with drive in movies were tonight at the golf course. The county seat .. next door to us.. has a big Halloween parade every year.
In Summer there are fireworks and bands every Wednesday night through summer and towns compete over fireworks for the 4th.
When the stupid government said we couldnt celebrate the 4th back in 2020, every single household shot off fireworks all over the town and everyone was in their yards celebrating all day long. It was HUGE!!
Santa visits all the neighborhoods before Christmas. Every church has midnight mass or serviees and everyone goes.
In the depth of winter there is the Polar Bear Plunge on the beach.
9. What was the last concert you attended? It was Ariana Grande at the Count Basier theatre in Red Bank NJ. That girl is talented. I stuff my ears with cotton at every concert as I have very good hearing and I can't stand the loudness.
One before that was Trans Siberian Orchetra and the Wizards of Winter in Atlantic City.
10. What is your favorite charitable organization?
Over all it would be St. Jude for its work for children.
I did not know that about the Commander in Chief. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt is not very cool here in central FL. We had about a week of chilly 50* weather at night, now it's back to humidity and heat, Iam not complaining. I do miss the fall season though. You are always in my thoughts and prayers my friend.

DeleteHello Annie - thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I also support St. Jude's. They really helped my grandson when he had brain cancer in 2016. Interesting fact about the President and the title Commander in Chief. I hope you have a good week. See you again soon.
ReplyDeleteWe've had a lot of so-called wars since WWII! I love the Atlantic Ocean but don't get there that often.
