Summer Solstice.. hodgepodge

Rainy Wednesday!    We can use the rain and the next 3 days have the promise of rain coming up from
the south and into the Delmarva and Southern NJ.     It is very cool here and very breezy.. a perfect start to summer and I hope it remains that way.    I am no fan of heat and high humidity.    Since I was a kid I've seen all kinds of summers here in New Jersey by the seashore.  Hot and humid, cool and breezy, warm and lovely.. you name it.     Weather and climate are much dependent on  the state of the sun.

1. Hello Summer! In the northern hemisphere anyway. What's something on your summer bucket list? Do you have an actual summer bucket list? If not, use your hypothetical list.
I don't have bucket lists of any kind really.   I just want to enjoy the ocean and the bay this summer for all it's worth.  I am 2 blocks away so it's easy to do.

2. What for you is the defining scent of summer?       Salt air.  Of course it's always around but in summer there is also the touch of cedar and pine in the air.  It's refreshing and our seaside air is always clean and clear.

3. What's a (music, food, wine, or flower) festival happening in your part of the country that you would like to attend if tickets/travel/timing was no object?
There are a few entire towns that are touristy and have Victorian themes to them, a Viking theme, and one is an old Seaport.  All have various activities all summer (all year really) long.
There are several wineries in the area but I am allergic to grapes.. so while its nice to visit, its a no joining in for me.    Cape May has many lovely things to do in Summer.
Summer at the seashore has too many activities to list. There are fireworks here every Wednesday night and concerts with fireworks every week in summer.    There are summer theaters, regattas, powerboat races, etc.  As I say.. too many to list.

4. Apparently a military whistle blower claims the US has a UFO retrieval program. What say you? Do you believe aliens are out there?
No.
The alien ufo hype is increasing as they are ready to haul out the next hoax on the public.
Werner Von Braun talked about the desire of the elites for a global government.. Nimrod style.  He warned and was 100% on the money with the methods to be used to pulverize the population of the west into submission.  The West has to be gone for a global government to be put in place.   He mentioned wars , pandemics, all manner of tricks and the final trick besides "asteroids" would be alien invasion.  All of it created by men and all of it through advanced technological fakery to remove liberty and  destroy sovereign nations.    Part of the Wikileaks info contained another testimony from Von Braun who worked as the premier scientist for NASA.

5. Besides your wedding day and the birthdays of any children you may have, what are three of your top experiences in life?
 Escaping a very awful and dangerous situation through the help of God.  That tops them all.  I saw him work to save us in no uncertain terms and so did my children.  We saw it!! Nothing and I mean nothing else comes close.

In my distress I called on God, To the Eternal raised my prayer;
My voice He from His temple heard, My cry ascended to His ear.
He bowed the heav'ns His high abode, Came in the dark of night;
He on a cherub swiftly rode, And on the wings of wind His flight.

His deadly shafts around He threw, His foes dispersed in wild retreat;
Like burning darts His lightnings flew, Scattering them in sore defeat.
He sent from heav'n and rescued me From waters swelling high;
From those that hate me set me free, And foes that stronger were than I.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

The pond and the green backyard.. so peaceful.

  1. I believe man is responsible for the hoax etc...but have a hard time believing we are the only life beings, (we discussed this-you and me, grin). I'll leave it at that...and I agree, Salt Air, nothing can beat that, smiles.

  2. Werner Von Braun also had Psalm 19:1 put on his tombstone. It says:
    "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork."

  3. I grew up not far from the Jersey Shore : ) We live on a lake now in SC, and we like to just enjoy it as much as we can, especially in the summertime. We get lots of company but that's fun too. Enjoy the rest of your week!

  5. Praising God for His hand on you! I've also seen Him work in my life, several times I've known without a doubt that He was holding my hand. So hard for me to type such experiences, wish we could talk face to face. It's been so hot down here, heat index was 116* the other day. I've been staying in, this kind of heat affects my breathing. Hope you've had a great week and will have a great weekend. ((hugs))

  6. Seems like we're on the same page, or a similar one, when it comes to the UFO thing. ;-) Hope you get to enjoy the beach often - what a treat to live so close! Years ago we lived across the street from the south end of the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ and it was such an awesome location! Hope your summer is off to a great start!
