Advice: 5¢
1. Is there one piece of advice you were given that you feel has been very important in your life?
From my father: Don't run before you can walk. Also, You can't dry yourself off with a wet towel and the hardest thing to conquer is the self.
Bishop Fulton Sheen: Never be tolerant of evil or evil ways. Be tolerant only of people who are striving to do well. Morals are set by God, not by you. Psalm 5 states: "You're not a God who smiles at sin; You cannot abide with evil. For you are not a God who has pleasure in wickedness".
2. What advice do you think is important for building good personal relationships? There is no relationship with those who will not communicate rightly or show you respect. .Therefore both things must exist to have a relationship at all.
3. Do you give advice to friends when they have problems to solve or do you refrain unless asked? In the past I gave advice. Now only if asked.
4. What advice can you give us today? Do not think with your heart. It will always 100% of the time deceive you and lead you wrong conclusions.
And you have the proverb in relation to bad situations that it takes 2 to tango. This is not true. You can stand up right now and do a tango all by yourself. As it says in Proverbs: The wise woman( Or man) builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. Applies to both men and women but, it means it only takes one person to destroy a relationship. or a business, etc.
Its also said everything happens for a reason. Sometimes the reason is that you are stupid or foolish etc.
We cannot go by our feelings as they come and go. True wisdom is found in God's word applied with reason. I loved your answers, Annie. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThe best advice to give anyone is to vote for Trump in November.
ReplyDeleteI vote for Pat Paulsen a simple ordinary savior of America's destiny.

ReplyDeleteGood advice is for the betterment of the recipient . The saddest aspect of giving good advice to those one cares about is that those in the most need are usually the least to heed . Their " crash and burn" is more painful , because it was avoidable .
ReplyDeleteThank you for another terrific post !
This was a great post, with excellent advice! Thank you for making us think about this. One good piece of advice would be to "put your brain in gear before you put your mouth in motion". I try to remember that one, but often forget...LOL.
