Friday is here once again quicker than a Jack Rabbit's hop.
I wonder how your week has been. Yesterday, May Day, I 'celebrated' with a bit of information on the supposed holiday. It really was always a pretty nasty day. You can read about it in the previous post. It's not too long at all so, don't worry!

Here along the eastern shore the weather is very chilly at night. Days are reaching up into the low 70's but, we have had some months in recent years where it got hot early. I am never diasppointed when things stay on the cooler side.
The Little is back from France where she invaded Paris thoroughly, swam in the Mediterranean on the Riviera and had a wonderful time on the school trip. The Parisians pretended not to understand her French but that's par for the course. That was done to me by a woman long ago and when she complained to me about my French in English, I pretended not to undertand a word she was saying. She got very insulted. Outside Paris she said the people were just wonderful and eager to help with her French. I think Parisians are weary of things as they are.

Beautiful post

ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, Annie! And yes, I'd heard the same about the folks in Paris being snobby, but those in the rest of France being so warm and welcoming. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteGreat sky.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I love the sky in the first shot!
ReplyDeleteLovely header ! I do enjoy your paintings !
ReplyDeleteGlad "The Little" is back home safe and sound and that she had such a wonderful trip. What a wonderful experience for her, even with the snobby Parisians. I'm sure her French was perfect! Your photos are beautiful. I wonder if that orange sky is near the fires? Are they out yet? Been praying. Have a blessed and peaceful weekend.
ReplyDeleteSome really nice photos here, I hear the French can be somewhat rude to foreigners
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that first photo with the orangey skies is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteI love the expression "quicker than a Jack Rabbit's hop!"
