Monday..Thoughts

Hello friends and internet family.
This week's Tuesday 4 is available for you today. Due to Mother's Day it went up very early this morning. You know it's never too late to join in and the meme is provided for you to give you topics to blog about.  While it is called Tuesday 4 it is perfectly fine to post it any time you
want to!
This week the topic is where you live, your state and town and how you got there, why you stay and what would you change if you could.
Drop on by to see the questions and join in.  It's a nice way to have something to think about, talk about , discuss and learn about others.

How is your Monday going? Does your week start off with  a bang..busy or is it slow and steady?    Here it is slow and steady after a nice day with friends and family yesterday.
I woke up a bit too early with an active mind and have every intention of going back to bed in a few minutes.
Late last night after everyone left I watched an episode of As the World Tuens from 1973.   Remember when commercials were soaps , toothpastes and household cleansers rather than pharmaceuticals?
You got all Tempa-Cheer for your laundry and a happy whislter provided the background while the happy housewife cleaned the kitchen floor with Pine Sol.    Now you get a warning that if you take this drug you will feel better but  while the characters are smiling the announcer is warning you that it may destroy your kidneys, liver and take years off your life.. but you won't wet your pants!!  What a great trade off.
Remember when programs didn't have obscene language in them and  bad people paid for what they did?
It was a different time and there is much  we have lost as technology has taken over.   We may actually be better off without most of it.  What do you think?
Have a good Monday my friends.

  1. Oh yes, I remember those days and the happy innocent kinds of commercials. Nowadays you don't even know half the time what they are advertising, and then they advertise things that in our day would have been totally taboo and unmentionable in public...personal items for women...my mother would have a fit if she saw those commercials. We mute all commercials and if we can skip past them, we do. Yes, I wish we could return to the kindler, gentler world of yesteryear, but I'm afraid it's long gone, and we either just avoid it and turn it off or we have to tolerate it. I, for one, prefer to turn it off or watch only things that I feel comfortable watching, which is limited. That's why I love blogging and visiting with our friends here where we feel safe and happy. thank you!
