Welcome to this week's edition of The Wednesday Hodgepodge. If you've answered today's questions add your link at the end of my post, then leave a comment for the blogger before you. Here we go-
1. What's an adult problem nobody prepared you for?
The death of children.
2. How tuned in are you to all the recent food related health news? Probably not very tuned in at all since I have no clue.
Have you gotten rid of your scratched cookware?
I use cast iron and stainless steel, so nope.
Did you pay attention to food additives before they made the news?
Yes. American made foods are horrible for you. Sodium is especially bad so I buy imported Italian beans and other Italian canned foods. The difference in amount of sodium is out of this world.
American crushed tomatoes: about 400mg sodium. Italian imported: 23mg.
What's one healthy eating/cooking/food shopping habit you need to adopt?
I am not really sure.
3. What's getting worse and worse as you get older? How about better and better?
My spine is worsening. Better is my attitude towards time and seasons.
4. Are you more of an indoor person or an outdoor person? Elaborate.
I like to be outside more than inside but my time between them is balanced.
5. If you had an expert personal assistant today, what would you have them do?
Today I would have them clear out my corner cabinet and wash it very well and then reorganize it for me. I need help putting stained glass cling film on my sliding glass doors. I need someone to vaccum for me all around the house.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
This never gets old........... I love the breeze off the water in the evening and the scent of the salt air.

I am so sorry, I could never imagine what it feels like to lose a child.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! The breeze off the water must be amazing.
I don't think there's any way to prepare for the death of a child. And I imagine the grief is life long. I often buy Italian tomatoes but haven't checked the sodium and now you've got me really curious. I'm going to do some comparing next time I shop. I hope you have a good day.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, regarding #1...nothing prepared me, NOTHING. I shall refrain any further...because of our shared grief. I do buy Italian tomatoes and have been reading cans...smiles
ReplyDeleteThere cannot possibly be anything worse than losing a child, Annie, and my heart breaks for you. Praying for all the families who recently lost precious children in those Texas floods. Years ago, I lost a precious husband to an unexpected and freak accident. Now, my husband, Danny, is struggling with his health, described in my recent post. Your prayers for healing would be much appreciated. God bless you always!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree with #6...love that ocean salt air...so strong you can literally taste it !
ReplyDeleteMartha Jane , prayers offered for Danny's improved health and for your comfort and strength .
