"Welcome to Saturday 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!"
Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.
1) In this song, Kelly Clarkson is dissatisfied with her relationship and she's moving on. What's something you've moved on from lately? It could be anything from a romance to the laundry detergent you've been using for years.
I am probabloy done with Dawn dish soap as it no longer does what it boasts it does. I am using a Dawn squirt bottle but it contains Ivory. I also stopped using Tide pods when they began not melting all the way and leaving plastic on my clothing.
I just want my Oxydol back.
2) She sings that she can now breathe. Studies have shown that July can be a good month for allergy sufferers because trees and grasses are no longer pollinating. How are your eyes, ears, nose and throat this morning?
Same as usual.
3) Kelly complains that their romance reminds her of a "stupid love song." Let's be more positive: what love song do you associate with positive memories?
None.
4) While Kelly's first love is music, she's established herself as a TV personality. In addition to her daytime talk show, she's been a judge on The Voice and hosted an awards show. Have you ever been on TV?
In the 8th grade on a school trip to ABC , NBC or CBS studios in New York. I forget which one it was.
5) She has confessed a weakness for Doritos. Would we find salty snacks in your kitchen right now? No. You will find unsalted snacks only.
6) Kelly has found her weight the source of public debate. Are you like Kelly, whose weight fluctuates? Or does it stay stable?
Who cares? I am sick of women's vanity over weight and looks, etc.
7) In 2005, when this song was popular, a motorist made news in Texas when he was ticketed for driving over 200 mph in a 75 mph zone. Have you ever been pulled over by the police?
No
8) Also in 2005, Tom Cruise had a pop culture moment when he famously jumped on a sofa. Do you remember where he did this?
The Oprah show.
9) Random question: Tell us about a photo you wish you'd taken, but didn't.
In my family we were not photo takers. I have very few photos of family.
I’m going to gently argue with you about #6. You’re right that many women focus on weight as a vanity issue, but … weight can also drastically affect health. Carrying a few extra pounds, not a problem. Carrying a lot of extra weight, however, can severely impact health and lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteI had that happen with Tide pods on cold water. They seem ok on warm and hot though.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Songbird on the weight issue. I have gained a ridiculous amount of weight during menopause.
You guys should take more pictures of your family. Loved your answers! Have a nice weekend.

Interesting questions and answers, Annie. Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteWhen mother passed all her pictures were divided and given to each sibling. I have a few but when you divide things four ways it really cuts each portion down to not much. Hope you're enjoying a great weekend. ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteEvery BIG birthday I have, I do something new. The last one, I quit weighing! hahaha! I decided it was making me feel depressed at the beginning of each day so who needs that! I can still wear all my clothes so that's enough for me! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLet me think, well I ha e switched laundry washing tablets over laundry powder, ok that's enough thinking my head hurts and I am cold
ReplyDeleteIt's such a pain when they change products, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt seems that so much of what we once knew and depended upon has vanished .
ReplyDeleteThey have been replaced with fewer options , that are touted as "New and Improved " ,
yet rarely rarely rise to that level!
